Abstract: Examples are described herein for imposing print jobs across lane(s) of a print medium web for frame-by-frame printing. A frame rewind distance (FRD) may be set to a length of a longest pattern of the print jobs and a frame repeat length (FRL) may be set to a difference between a frame length and the FRD. For each lane of a first frame of the frame-by-frame printing: patterns of one of the print jobs may be imposed along a length of the lane, and a distance that a tail end of the one of the patterns extends beyond the FRL may be preserved as a respective gap length for the lane in a second frame. For each lane of the second frame of the frame-by-frame printing, patterns of one of the print jobs may be imposed beginning at the respective preserved gap length.

Abstract: Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of paper, sheet, and/or box products of varying size and structure, often with pre-applied print (“pre-print”), are provided herein. In the composite image output step, a composite image data is output to a display device, and a virtual image of the label on the display device is superimposed and displayed. In the determining step, it is determined whether a desired suitability is satisfied between an exterior appearance of a background object and an exterior appearance of the label based on the real image data and the virtual image data. In the notifying step, a predetermined suitability notification is made.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a printer being capable of parsing, understanding and evaluating multiple target package files that include printing resources not only for a single printer or for a single type of printer, but for multiple printers or multiple types of printers. For this purpose, the package file is augmented with platform information that is separately associated with each printer resource included in the package file. Thereby, the parser of the printer can discriminate whether or not a particular resource is applicable to itself. Consequently, only the resources such as firmware are installed that are valid and applicable to the printer. One method includes receiving variable data and controlling an energy source to at least partially ablate the printed publication based on the variable data.
