摘要： A method of and apparatus for automatically changing tubes seated upon tube clamping mandrels and wherein each tube, through rotation of a member carrying the tube clamping mandrels, is alternately brought out of a position in contact with a friction drive drum for the purpose of taking-up an endless thread delivered at a high speed and after reaching the desired package size thereon the tube with its package is brought into a package doffing position. A gripper is rocked out of a rest position essentially perpendicular to the axial direction of the tube clamping mandrel carrying the tube with the package wound thereon, and the package and its tube are engaged by means of the gripper. Then the engaged package and its tube are withdrawn from the tube clamping mandrel by moving the gripper in a direction away from the tube clamping mandrel and essentially parallelly with respect to the axial direction of the tube clamping mandrel into a predetermined position, and thereafter the package and its tube are released by carrying out an opposite rocking movement of the gripper.

摘要： A winding device for automatically changing tubes for taking-up endless threads or the like, comprising a thread traversing device for generating thread winding wraps, a thread deflecting device for lifting the thread off the thread traversing device and a thread holding device provided with a thread guiding device for guiding the thread in its lifted-off position during change of the bobbin tube. At least two driven bobbin chucks are capable of being alternately brought into a bobbin- or tube change position respectively, each chuck being capable of taking-up or supporting one tube. A thread catching and cutting zone is arranged adjacent to one end of the tube and rotates together with the tube. The thread holding device is arranged in such a manner that the thread lifted off the thread traversing device is guided thereby at the immediate vicinity of the thread catching and cutting zone. According to the invention, a thread shifting device is provided for the purpose of shifting the thread guided by the thread holding device in a first shifting phase from its position at the immediate vicinity of the thread catching and cutting zone through such zone onto the end portion of the tube adjacent thereto, and which thread shifting device in a second phase shifts the thread over a predetermined distance on the tube creating the reserve wraps. The thread shifting device is constructed such that the thread is shifted at higher shifting speed in the second phase than in the first phase.

摘要： A method of forming a sliver from a fiber web produced in a card which comprises the steps of subjecting the formed web immediately after it is withdrawn to a precondensing action or preliminary condensation by laterally collecting the web towards the middle thereof, and subsequently condensing such web into a sliver by means of a known type of condensing device to essentially complete the formation. The invention also pertains to apparatus for forming a sliver in accordance with the aforesaid inventive method wherein a sliver condensing device is arranged after a web take-off device of the card, and between the web take-off device and the sliver condensing device there is provided movable precondensing means in the form of at least one substantially cylindrical-type roller or having at least one substantially cylindrical circumferential precondensing surface disposed in a plane which is in substantially perpendicular relationship with respect to the plane in which the web moves for forming a precondensed strand of fibers by laterally collecting the fiber web.

摘要： The fiber material is directed onto one or more chutes from a pneumatic transporting duct by rotatable cylinders. Each chute has a cylinder associated therewith which at least partially interrupts the transporting air stream to intercept and direct a portion of the air flow and entrained fibers into the chute. The cylinders may be positively rotated or freely mounted. The cylinders are also mounted close to the back wall of the chute to allow removal of accumulations of fibers on the cylinders.

A braking force component is generated which acts against the braking lever to prevent such braking lever from pivoting into the second position for activating a switching function for releasing the bobbin tube from the bobbin mandrel until the bobbin mandrel has come to a complete standstill. After the bobbin mandrel has been braked and comes to a complete standstill, a force is applied to the braking lever which causes it to pivot into the second position for activating the switching function to release the bobbin tube from the bobbin mandrel.
