    摘要: A device for fusion splicing, by an arc discharge, a pair or a plurality of pairs of optical fibers arranged so that end surfaces thereof face each other. An optical fiber arrangement portion positions the pair or the plurality of pairs of optical fibers between a pair of electrodes. A control portion controls a voltage applied to the pair of electrodes. The control portion generates a first discharge between the pair of electrodes, stops the first discharge between the pair of electrodes, and then generates an arc discharge between the pair of electrodes to fusion-splice the pair or the plurality of pairs of optical fibers to each other. A discharge time of the first discharge is 200 milliseconds or less. A time from stopping the first discharge to starting the arc discharge is 100 milliseconds or less.

    摘要: An optical connector of one embodiment includes an optical fiber, a ferrule assembly, and a housing provided with a positioning part on an inner wall surface for suppressing a fluctuation in an aligning state of the optical fiber with respect to the housing. The positioning part includes an inclined surface and a facing surface which contact a part of the ferrule assembly. The ferrule assembly includes a ferrule, and a sleeve member. The sleeve member is constituted by a sleeve and a flange which has edges contacting the inclined surface and the facing surface respectively. Of an outer peripheral portion of the flange, a portion including the edges facing at least one of the inclined surface and the facing surface includes a set including a deformation absorbing part and two contact portions disposed on both sides of the deformation absorbing part.

    摘要: A fusion splicer includes an irradiation unit to irradiate an optical fiber with first wavelength light and second wavelength light; a light receiving unit; a processing unit to extract first feature data from first luminance information based on the first wavelength light and to extract second feature data from second luminance information based on the second wavelength light; a determination unit to determine whether the first feature data and the second feature data are within a predetermined range; and a drive unit to move one optical fiber on the basis of the luminance information from which the feature data is extracted so as to arrange the axes of the optical fibers in a predetermined positional relationship when the feature data is determined to be within the predetermined range. The processing unit extracts the second feature data when the first feature data is not within the predetermined range.

    摘要: An optical connector includes first and second ferrules, first and second front housings each accommodating a corresponding ferrule of the first and second ferrules inside, an inner housing connected to rear ends of the first and second front housings, an outer housing including a first latch and accommodating the inner housing inside, and a tab disposed in a second direction intersecting a first direction with respect to the outer housing. The inner housing includes second latches disposed on first and second side portions respectively. The first and second side portions arranged in a third direction intersecting both the first direction and the second direction. The second latches include respective engaging portions that are engageable with the outer housing. Each of the engaging portions is pushed toward the inside of the inner housing to release a state of engagement between the inner housing and the outer housing.
