    摘要: An arrangement for measuring and cancelling bias distortion is designed for correcting the distortion of the binary signals which do not comprise any zero-frequency spectral components, automatically and cyclically measures said distoration (DM) by consecutive analyses of the binary data at a sampling frequency (SCK) which is a multiple of the data frequency in order to determine the sign and the quantized value of the distortion (UDC). It includes distortion cancelling means (CC) which augment the length of the binary elements selectively as a function of the sign of the distortion and proportionally to the quantized value of the said distortion and this is done until the distortion is cancelled completely.

    摘要: Echo canceler associated with a modem utilizing amplitude and phase modulation of a carrier, the echo canceler comprising adaptive filters (16-1) to (16-p) producing signals which are combined in an adder (15) for forming a synthetic echo signal .epsilon.(n). The coefficients of these filters are adjusted to minimize the mean square value of the residual echo signal e(n)=.epsilon.(n)-.epsilon.(n), where .epsilon.(n) is the echo received. The echo canceler comprises a code conversion circuit (17) which receives a signal D(n) characterizing in each modulation interval the amplitude and phase state of the carrier to be transmitted and which produces distinct configurations of several numbers of values +1, -1 or 0, said distinct configurations corresponding to the distinct possible states of the carrier to be transmitted such that elementary signals D.sub.1 (n) to D.sub.p (n) are formed which are mutually independent in the mean and which are applied to the filters (16-1) to (16-p). These filters can then be realized in a simple way.

    摘要: An analogue scrambling system with dynamic band permutation in which the speech signal is filtered (1), sampled (2) at the rate f.sub.e, digitized (3), transformed by means of an analysis filter bank (4) into N sub-band signals sampled at f.sub.e /N and transferred in a permuted order to a synthesis filter bank (13) accomplishing the calculations of the scrambled signal sampled at the rate f.sub.e. A set of permutations is protected in a memory (8) and a scrambling with dynamic permutation in time is obtained by changing the read addresses of the memory. The scrambled signal reconverted into an analogue signal (14, 15) is transmitted through an analogue channel to an unscrambler where it is preprocessed so that the synchronizing and equalizing functions are accomplished and where the accomplished processes are identical with those accomplished in the scrambler, the difference being that the permuted order of the N sub-band signals is restored.

The gains of the two amplifiers (11) and (12) respond to each other. A device is provided so as to ensure that the gain in the second path remains higher than the gain in the first path. A third controllable amplifier (5) is provided between the microphone (4) and the input terminal (A) which is used in common by the first and second paths; the said means (14) are adjusted in such a way that the electro-acoustic loop which is closed by the second path (C.sub.2) is permanently the source of non-annoying oscillations. By inducing a gain variation of the second amplifier (6) a gain variation in the opposite sense is produced in the receiving path, it being possible for these two variations to have accurately the same amplitudes.

    摘要: A range measuring apparatus of the linear frequency modulation type is disclosed which comprises a measuring control loop for rendering the beat frequency between the transmitted and received frequencies equal to a fixed frequency. The apparatus further includes means for forming a permanent second beat signal between two signals derived from the generator supplying the frequency modulated signal, one of these signals being delayed by means of the delay line. A phase detector receives this second pulsed signal and the signal of a controlled frequency oscillator and supplies a signal which controls the slope of the frequency modulation. The error signal of the measuring control loop controls the frequency of the signal from the oscillator. This arrangement results in an increased precision in the range measurements.
