    摘要: A connection system for a quantum computer that employs constant impedance connectors with attenuation or filtering components or both embedded therein or within an adaptor removably insertable within an adaptor housing for use in a cryogenically cooled quantum computer. The connection system provides a higher density of cables traversing through a hermetic sealed top plate, and which are accessible to chill blocks to reduce the thermal energy from the signal lines. Attenuators or filter circuits are embedded in the constant impedance connector housings, or provided in adaptors that connect on each end to form mating constant impedance connections, in order to reduce signal strength as the signal progresses through the cryogenic environment and to remove extraneous electrical signal noise.

A conductive via having a center aperture and a via body having a slot adjacent either the via top surface and/or via bottom surface, and a dielectric component insertable within the via center aperture, and having a slot aligned with the conductive via body slot. The dielectric component having a center aperture with a conductive member in electrical communication with a PCB signal trace without contact to the conductive via. A printed circuit board connector having a center signal pin with a slotted dielectric component attached thereto, or a slotted dielectric component in conjunction with a slotted, conductive via body attached thereto.

A single electrical interface in mid- or backplane applications is introduced to accommodate a wide range of board thickness variations while maintaining a desired interface relationship, using a connector plug bushing, a male connector having a sliding fit with the bushing, a first coaxial connector plug, a female connector plug with a housing width sized to provide a sliding fit within the connector plug bushing inner opening, and a second coaxial connector plug in the free end of the female connector plug for connection to the power and signal cables. A constant impedance connector is used with the interconnection of the RF signal and power cables.

    摘要: A receptacle connector and a plug connector for connecting a coaxial cable of 75 ohms or greater to a printed circuit board without affecting the outside configuration of their shells. At one end, the receptacle connector forms a spring contact receiver portion for resiliently retaining the plug end of the plug connector. The plug connector terminates a coaxial cable at its other end. The receiver portion of the receptacle connector is right-angled to a three-legged terminal section for solder connection at the printed circuit board. The receptacle and plug connectors comprise an outer shell member, a dielectric member, and a center conductor. The shell members are stamped and formed to maintain an exact constant inside diameter to the shells. The center conductors are stamped and formed to maintain an exact but variable outside diameter which is used to change the terminating impedance of the respective connector. The center conductors are subsequently insert molded into the dielectric members during their formation. The molded dielectric members are preferably of an insulative and low dielectric constant material, such as Teflon. The connectors are assembled by forming the outer shells around the dielectric members which have locating means for determining a positive relationship between the shells and dielectric members.
