摘要： A method of producing a screen for forming a nonwoven material by hydroentanglement. The method includes the steps of providing a layer of radiation curable polymeric resin material in fluid form. Further, the step of irradiating at least one layer of radiation curable polymeric resin material in fluid form through at least one mask selectively transparent to the radiation, so as to effect at least partial curing of the material of the at least one layer in positions corresponding with radiation-transparent regions of the mask. Further still, the step of removing uncured polymeric material to form one or more apertures within the at least one layer. Wherein the radiation-transparent regions of the mask have different sizes and shapes and are distributed randomly, such that the one or more apertures provided in the cured polymeric material of the screen are not provided in a regular pattern or form.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a fabric seam in a fabric for use as papermachine clothing, the fabric having loops at each of the fabric's transverse ends adapted for interconnection by way of a pintle to make the fabric endless, including the steps of bringing the ends into end-to-end disposition in order to interdigitate the loops, inserting a pintle in the interdigitated loops, heat setting to fix base yarns and the loops of the fabric in place, inserting at least one stuffer yarn, at least a part of which includes a low melt component, into selected void areas in the loops adjacent the pintle, adhering at least one batt layer to the seam by needling, and further heat setting to at least partially melt the stuffer yarn such that it deforms to substantially take on the shape of the void areas at the pintle joint, to bind fibers of the batt needled into the void areas and to bind adjacent yarns of the fabric.

摘要： Papermachine clothing having machine direction (MD) yarns and cross-machine direction (CD) yarns interwoven in a repeat pattern, wherein the CD yarns are provided in two systems. The first CD yarn system has upper and lower yarns. The second CD yarn system has a single yarn. The first and second CD systems are provided alternatively throughout the fabric. The MD yarns are also provided in two systems, the first MD yarn system extending in between the upper and lower yarns of the first CD yarn system and over the single yarn of the second CD yarn system. Individual yarns of the second MD yarn system extend over one of the upper of lower yarns of the first CD yarn system and the single yarn of the second CD yarn system. Two adjacent machine direction yarns from different MD yarn systems extend as a pair over the same CD yarn of the second CD yarn system with one of the pair of MD yarns extending above the other of the pair such that the other yarn is protected from abrasion.
