摘要： A motor vehicle security device for protecting against the cutting of an automobile steering wheel which includes a protective member made of cut-resistant material covering the steering wheel rim and a connector for attaching the protective member to the steering wheel rim. The protective member radially and circumferentially overlies the steering wheel rim to limit access to the rim and protect against cutting of the rim. The protective member includes two or more plate sections which can be collapsed into a smaller form for convenient storage. The protective member also includes a guide member to limit the movement of the plate sections with respect to one another.

摘要： A vehicle anti-theft system comprises a mechanical anti-theft device adapted to be attached to a vehicle steering wheel to limit rotation thereof, and an electrical anti-theft device remotely controlled by a transmitter in the mechanical device and operable to inhibit starting of the vehicle engine when the mechanical device is in its mounted position. The mechanical device includes a key operated lock mechanism for locking the device to the steering wheel and a supplemental lock mechanism for maintaining the locked condition of the device in response to tampering with either the key operated or the supplemental lock mechanism.

摘要： A device is adapted for use primarily as a theft deterrent for bicycles, mopeds and other two and three wheeled self propelled or motorized conveyances, said device comprises a pair of opposed, telescopically engaging U-shaped members and locking means associated with said members, securing them from being forcibly pulled apart. The locking means typically includes the use of a pawl and ratchet arrangement for facilitating the engagement of the two members for securing them in locking relationship. The device also includes a compressible and extendible rubber or elastomeric boot preferably in the form of bellows. This boot provides a protective cover around ratchet teeth that are longitudinally spaced along one of the arms of the two U-shaped members. The boot progressively surrounds the ratchet teeth as the rod is disengaged or withdrawn from the sleeve. The cover serves to prevent damage to the individual ratchet teeth, and in addition, provides a level of protection from scratching, chipping or marring the paint or other finish on the bicycle, etc. and injury to persons utilizing or otherwise coming into contact with the security device.

摘要： An anti-theft device that is adapted to be connected adjacent to or on a battery of a motor vehicle and including a power switch for disconnecting the battery from its standard battery cable when current flowing through the cable exceeds a preselected substantial amount of current associated with an attempt to start the vehicle. A lockout circuit is actuated by a remote transmitter for generating an external command signal to override the operation of the power switch. This device can be attached directly to a battery without external wiring and still provide the passive or self-arming anti-theft device.

摘要： A bicycle security device comprises a receiver which is adapted to be mounted to the frame of a bicycle and a U or J-shaped shackle. In the locked position, the shackle engages a locking mechanism in the receiver to secure the bicycle to an immoveable object or alternatively to secure the wheel of the bicycle to the frame. In the stored position, the shackle is held in the receiver to avoid contact with the bicycle rider. The locking mechanism preferably comprises a pawl-ratchet arrangement or a lock pin adapted to engage one of a plurality of semi-circular grooves along one arm of the shackle.

摘要： A security system for preventing unauthorized removal of a vehicle accessory such as a radio from a mounted position on the vehicle comprises a dispensing container containing a pressurized protective material such as a pepper gas and having a dispensing valve displaceable from a closed position to an open position in which the protective material is dispensed from the container. A valve actuating member is responsive to displacement of the accessory from its mounted position to displace the dispensing valve from the closed to the open position whereby the protective material is dispensed from said container.

摘要： An actuator for a personal protective spray canister having a container for holding a pressurized protective material capable of being propelled in a gaseous cloud to at least partially disable a person and a manipulative valving device protruding outwardly from the container, with the valving device having an outlet for directing the gaseous cloud from the container, and a valve element movable between a first biased normal position closing the outlet and a second depressed operative position opening the outlet to allow the material to be propelled from the container as a cloud. The actuator comprising: a radio frequency receiver for detecting and receiving a coded radio frequency signal, a decoder for creating an identification signal when the receiver receives a radio frequency signal with a preselected code, a mechanical device for moving the valve element into the second depressed, operative position in response to a danger signal, a circuit for creating a danger signal in response to a given number of identification signals, a power supply for providing power to operate the mechanical device to depress the valve element when the actuator is operatively associated with the valve element of the container.
