    摘要: Vertically stackable benches and pallets for holding three inch and four inch diameter planting pots, wherein the benches can be entirely formed from wire. Each of the benches has a center portion formed from a planar shaped wire grid. Support members on opposite ends of the wire grid allow the benches to be stacked on top of one another while maintaining an airspace therebetween. Each support member has an upper bent tip extending upwardly from the surface of the grid, and a lower legs that form a downwardly opening slot opening, the legs extending below the undersurface of the grid. The bent tips of a first bench interlock into the slot in the legs of a second bench that is stacked on top of the first bench. Airspaces between each of the stacked pallets allows for seedlings in the pots to grow regardless of whether the pots are arranged in every grid opening or in staggered grid openings.

    摘要: Continuously assembled pots, configured in square or hexagonal cylinders for raising and transplanting seedlings are formed by developing non-adhered portions of a band, which is formed by adhering two sheets of film such as paper or the like. The portion of the band corresponding to a connector portion which connects the pots is folded at a given length, and has an elongated or unfolded length larger than the width of one side of a pot. The folded portion of the band is adhered to itself and to a pot with a water soluble paste, so that the continuously assembled pots are separated by water during raising and pulled out continuously from one end thereof in a line.

    摘要: A seedling growing container is illustrated wherein a number of removable partitions or barriers are positioned together in a block. Each of the partitions has interconnected diverging walls forming a series of troughs therebetween open at the top and the bottom so that the partitions may be placed in opposing relation as in a tray forming growing compartments from each of the opposing troughs which are in register with each other, suitable for growing a single seedling. Positioning of the plugs is contemplated such that alternate rows of plugs of growing material, each of which is capable of growing a single seedling, are utilized so that each plug will be surrounded for the most part by a partition with the remainder being surrounded by an air space for preventing roots from growing from one plug to the other through the process of air pruning. The tray is partially open at the bottom, at least to an extent sufficient to provide an opening for heated air to be passed upwardly through the voids formed by the omitted plugs for further encouraging growth of the seedlings. Any suitable means may be utilized for positioning the partition together to form a block.
