    摘要: Apparatus for separating milk and air from each other at an early stage in a pipe milking machine, comprising a claw (1) and a pump assembly (10) in flow communication therewith and connected with a vacuum tube (5) and including a pump for pumping milk into a normal-pressure milk pipe (4a) coupled with assembly (10). In the apparatus, negative-pressure milk and air are supplied from claw (1) to pump assembly (10) for effecting the separation of air from milk, followed by pumping the milk into normal-pressure milk pipe (4a). The supply of milk from claw (1) to pump assembly (10) is essentially effected by gravity alone.

    摘要: A trap chamber is formed by a cylindrical container and a head sealed to and closing the upper end of the container, which is releasable from the head by actuating a detent. Air and entrained liquid from a milk receiver are sucked into the head through a tangential inlet from which air discharges through a top outlet to a vacuum pump while separated liquid spirals down along the chamber wall to a valved drain outlet. Liquid accumulating in the chamber eventually raises a floating ball valve against a seat to close the air outlet and break the vacuum so that the chamber is drained through the bottom outlet. The ball valve is then released from its seat by an element operable to break the vacuum in the air outlet. Vacuum in the chamber draws the container upward to compress a sealing gasket against the head and thus prevent leakage.

    摘要: A milk pumping system used in vacuum milking installations for the purpose of withdrawing the milk that is in a vacuum milk receiver that is under constant vacuum, in cases wherein the milk must be pumped to a higher and more remote bulk tank that is under atmospheric pressure. For this purpose a milk releaser provided with a float is connected to the outlet of the vacuum milk receiver, and, when the milk releaser is filled up with milk, the float acts through a linkage to close a vacuum line connecting the first milk releaser to the vacuum milk receiver and establish a communication with the external atmosphere. The first milk releaser is in communication through an air line to an air-operated two-way valve, and the two-way valve is operated such that it is able to change a second milk releaser which is connected to the outlet of the first milk releaser and is under atmospheric pressure, to a vacuum, so that the milk that has collected in the first milk releaser can be aspirated out by the second milk releaser. The milk is let out of the second milk releaser into a bulk milk tank that is under atmospheric pressure.
