In one embodiment, an aircraft can include a fuselage, at least one engine, and a fuel system configured to distribute fuel to at least one of the engine and an aerial refueling manifold. The aircraft can further include an auxiliary fuel tank system operably coupled to the fuel system. The auxiliary fuel tank system can include a master tank assembly and at least one slave tank assembly. The master tank assembly can be removably installed in the fuselage, and can include a master tank body configured to hold fuel. The master tank body can be configured to pass through a door in the fuselage without disassembly. The slave tank assembly can be removably installed in the fuselage at least proximate to the master tank assembly, and can include a slave tank body configured to hold fuel.

    摘要: The liquid suction device for sucking liquid contained in a vessel is described that include: a liquid retention room inserted into the vessel via an opening at an upper part of the vessel and dipped in the liquid, the liquid retention room having an inflow port and an exhaust port; a suction tube connected to the exhaust port and extending from the opening of the vessel; and a float member provided in the liquid retention room, the float member opening and closing the exhaust port, wherein the liquid is retained in the liquid retention room when the retention room is dipped in the liquid, the float member is floated upward so as to open the exhaust port, the liquid in the vessel is sucked outward via the inflow port, the liquid retention room, the exhaust port and the suction tube, the retained liquid is exhausted from the inflow port when the liquid in the vessel is lessened to reach a predetermined volume or below, and the exhaust port is closed by the float member.

    摘要: A buoyancy flushing apparatus is disclosed which comprises a reservoir for accumulating liquid, having an inlet for receiving liquid and an outlet chamber recessed in a bottom wall of the reservoir. The outlet chamber includes an outlet for draining liquid out of the reservoir. The apparatus further comprises an outlet valve movable between a down position where liquid accumulates in the reservoir and a raised position where liquid accumulated in the reservoir is flushed out via the outlet. The outlet valve comprises a ballast unit sized and shaped to fit loosely in the outlet chamber when said valve is in the down position; and a float unit topping the ballast unit to move the valve in the raised position by buoyancy when a sufficient amount of liquid is accumulated in the reservoir, thereby providing a passageway for liquid between the bottom wall of the reservoir and the valve leading to the outlet in the outlet chamber to flush liquid out of the reservoir. Guiding means are provided for guiding the outlet valve between the down position and the raised position. The apparatus can be used for applications such as water treatment and irrigation. It could advantageously be used for directing and spreading waste water previously treated in a septic tank to different sanitary treating fields.

    摘要: A float actuated water level control valve has a sliding valve tube depending from a float to meter the amount of water flow through the valve proportionally in response to the position of the float. The valve is especially useful for controlling the water level in an aquarium overflow filter system. The valve inlet has an adjustable flow area which is defined as the area between a lower edge of the sliding valve tube and an upper edge of a drain. The configuration of the lower edge of the sliding valve tube and the upper edge of the drain are selected to provide increased flow area linear to the position of the float. The valve inlet is submerged, and drain gurgling sounds are thereby muffled. In addition, the valve maintains the water level within the reservoir at a height above the valve inlet, which is especially useful for reducing splashing sounds from water spilling over an overflow wall in an aquarium.

    摘要: An automatic liquid pump contained within a sealed pressure vessel. The pressure vessel includes a liquid inlet opening, a liquid outlet opening, a gas inlet and a gas outlet. A preloaded float-operated over-center valve mechanism closes the gas inlet valve and opens the gas outlet valve to permit vapor to vent through the gas outlet valve. The over-center valve mechanism alternately closes the gas outlet valve and opens the gas inlet valve to admit compressed gas into the sealed vessel to evacuate the liquid within the sealed vessel through the liquid outlet opening. A float valve is coupled to the liquid outlet opening for closing the liquid outlet opening when the liquid in the vessel drops below a first predetermined level. As a result, vapors are prevented from escaping through the liquid outlet opening under all operating conditions.

Once the level of irrigation water (38) falls below valve seat (16), lower float (17) will engage the lower converging valve seat (16) and close off the valve which will not reactivate until manually reset, even if the irrigation water level rises.
