    摘要： A method and apparatus to attach an Electroluminescent wire and power inverter to a helmet is disclosed. Dabs of hot glue are injected at various locations to form a pattern on a helmet top surface. Segments of heat shrink tubing are inserted into the injected hot glue on the surface to permit the heat shrink tubing segments to shrink and adhere to the helmet. Electroluminescent wire is inserted into the partially shrunk segments of heat shrink tubing. A power inverter is attached to the helmet and connected to the electroluminescent wire to create a light pattern.

    摘要： A power module assembly for being mounted to headgear is provided. The power module assembly can include a housing member and a cover member configured to mount thereto. The housing member and cover member can have a generally curved profile configured for fitting against a user's head. The housing member can be generally rigid, and the cover member generally flexible and resilient, so that the cover member can mount to the housing member with a snap fit connection therebetween. The housing member can further include a plurality of handles, so that straps of the headgear can extend through openings between the handles corresponding surfaces of the housing member to secure the power module assemble to the headgear.

The planar light panel produces light and is positioned between the back panel and front panel. Preferably, a blackout layer is positioned on the interior side of the front panel to be adjacent said light panel. The flexible fabric front panel includes one or more openings in the form of decorative designs which permit the passage of light from the planar light panel.

Each flashlight is of the elongated type and arranged by means of an associated clip so that the light emitting end is remote from the skull-covering portion of the cap whereby light is projected along the field of view of the wearer.

The light unit includes: a holder with a front end and a back end; at least one lens located within the holder at the front end of the holder; and at least one light source located within the holder and axially spaced from the at least one lens such that light produced by the light source projects along the holder, through the lens, and out the front end of the holder. The lighted headwear produces a narrower, longer-distance beam of light than typical lighted headwear, more akin to the light produced by a flashlight or torch, while maintaining the look of a normal hat or cap.
