    摘要： A structurally supportive device for constructing a weight-bearing feature in a wet area of a building, such as but not limited to a shelf, seat or step in a shower, bath, tub, sauna, spa or swimming pool, comprising a triangular horizontal support surface with first, second, and third edges, wherein the first and the second edges form a right angle; a vertical presentation surface depending down from the third edge; a horizontal support lip along a bottom edge of the vertical presentation surface; and attachment tabs protruding from the first and second edges, with each tab running at least two-thirds the length of the first or second edge; wherein the tabs protrude sufficiently far to be received into a slot formed into a wall surface finishing material but not so far as to penetrate a waterproof membrane or a wall board, and wherein the horizontal support surface and vertical presentation surface are configured to receive a feature finishing material such as tile, stone or solid surface material.

A shelf base has a third biscuit slot located at a first side surface and a fourth biscuit slot located at a second side surface. An outer portion of the first biscuit and an outer portion of the second biscuit have asymmetric edges. The outer portion of the first biscuit and the outer portion of the second biscuit are partially housed in a first biscuit slot of the first wall and a second biscuit slot of the second wall, respectively.

    摘要： A shelf system for corner walls where the shelf members are supported against two perpendicularly disposed walls without showing any mounting elements. The shelf member includes at least two contiguous sides defining edges of a predetermined thickness and perpendicular to each other. Tongue members extend for the sides and are receivable within cooperative wall cavities for a snug mechanical engagement. Adhesive is applied to the sides to immobilize the shelf member and thus enhance the structured integrity of the system.

    摘要： The present invention discloses a modular shelf mounting system 10 having a bracket member 20 for mounting and supporting a shelf member 12. The bracket member 20 has multiple holes 22 therein for having its rear side mounted to a wall 14 at the stud locations. Furthermore, the bracket 20 has forwardly projecting multiple cantilevered male members 18 which cantilevered members are inserted into mating female apertures 16 located in the shelf 12 whereby the shelf 12 can be slidably attached onto the cantilevered members 18. Alternative embodiments are shown for placement of the shelf in a corner and having the cantilevered members hinged 26 at their base. An additional embodiment is shown wherein the shelf is mounted onto the bracket 36 using multiple attachment means 42 thereby avoiding the need of the cantilevered forwardly projecting members 18.
