摘要： A foldable and rollable zoned spring mattress includes a zoned spring layer with first, second and third lateral regions. The central axis of the mattress passes through the second lateral region. The first lateral region is disposed between the second lateral region and the top of the mattress, and the third lateral region is disposed between the second lateral region and the bottom of the mattress. The second lateral region includes pocket springs comprised of individual metal coils each encased in a fabric pocket. The first and third lateral regions include coils that are connected to one another by parallel rows of helical-shaped wires that are oriented perpendicular to the central axis. The mattress is compressed and then folded at its central axis at the pocket springs of the second lateral region. The compressed and folded mattress is then rolled such that the helical-shaped wires are not folded or bent.

A bed controller is communicatively coupled to each spring module, and the bed controller is configured to selectively control a load carried by each spring assembly.

摘要： A partially foam encased pocketed spring assembly is made in a fully automated assembly machine. A first foam rail is introduced into the assembly machine and glued to upper and lower substrate webs. A first string of pocketed springs is then glued to a side surface of the first foam rail between upper and lower substrate webs and glued to the upper and lower substrate webs. Additional strings are joined together to create a pocketed spring interior. A second foam rail is then introduced into the assembly machine and glued to an outer string and to the upper and lower substrate webs to create a core. Third and fourth foam rails are glued to the core.

摘要： A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of individually pocketed springs. A dimensionally stabilizing substrate is secured to at least some of the strings on one of the top and bottom surfaces of the strings. A scrim sheet is secured to at least some of the strings on an opposed surface of the strings to maintain the positions of the strings. The dimensionally stabilizing substrate is laterally rigid enough to maintain length and width dimensions of the coil spring assembly. However, the dimensionally stabilizing substrate is flexible enough to allow the pocketed spring assembly to be roll packed for shipping.

The drive may change a position of a first spring relative to a second spring in each of the cushions to change a perceived firmness by a user lying on top of the topper and the firmness adjusters. A dryer may be provided under the bedframe to keep the cushions and topper dry.

A humidity sensing sheet may be provided to sense a humidity level at different regions or areas of the bed, and the dryer may be controlled to supply hot air to regions of the bed having a higher humidity level than a predetermined humidity level or humidity range.
