摘要： A dispensing apparatus for controllably dispensing a selected beverage media into a reusable single serving filter cup. The dispensing apparatus includes a housing having a single serve filter cup receiving opening for receiving the single serve filter cup and a reservoir for holding a predetermined volume of the beverage media. The reservoir has an inlet opening for receiving the beverage media and an outlet opening for dispensing the beverage media into a dispensing receptacle that is rotatably carried by the housing for movement between a first position wherein the inlet opening of the dispensing receptacle opening is aligned with outlet opening of the reservoir and a second position wherein the outlet opening of the dispensing receptacle is aligned with the single serve filter cup. In operation, rotation of the dispensing receptacle energizes an agitating device that is attached to the reservoir and functions to controllably agitate the reservoir in a manner to inhibit clogging of the beverage media as it is dispensed into the single serve filter cup.

摘要： A cooking apparatus used for filling and decorating of foods, comprising in some embodiments a one-piece, funnel-shaped bag with a soft side wall, having an open first end at the “top” through which food material and coloring agents can be inserted into the bag and a closed second end at the “bottom” end of the funnel, with an integral, malleable, conical shaped, discharge orifice. The orifice may have serrations or ridges extending inwardly from the internal wall of the orifice, running longitudinally or parallel to the cone axis. The orifice may be initially closed or manufactured with a small opening. The orifice may be made of a material capable of being cut to yield an exit opening. The inwardly extending serrations that remain after a cut may insure that the material is “treated” as it is expelled from the bag through the orifice to yield a ribbon candy design.

摘要： A spice dispensing device is provided for an automatic meal preparation apparatus. The device uses a replaceable cartridge containing a volume of spice for dispensing in predetermined volumetric doses. A dispensing mechanism is built in to the cartridge for isolating the predetermined volumetric dose and moving it toward an opening in the bottom of the cartridge. The cartridge is sized and shaped to be placed into the automatic meal preparation apparatus in a rack for containing a plurality of such cartridges. The cartridge is alignable with a position in the rack in which the spice dose can be dispensed directly into a cooking vessel of the apparatus.

摘要： The invention provides a system and method for delivering antibiotic powder to a surgical wound that reduces the likelihood of contamination. A pre-packaged, sterile antibiotic powder delivery system comprises a container; a measured dosage of an antibiotic powder disposed within the container; and a sieve top attached to the top of the container, wherein the container and sieve top are sealed as a unit in a sterile packaging. To use the delivery system in the sterile surgery or operating room environment, the delivery system is removed from the sterile packaging. The delivery system is shaken over the surgical wound for a reasonable amount of time to cover the entire wound, avoid surgeon fatigue at the end of surgery, and avoid prolonging the total time the wound is open.
