Abstract:
A heating unit includes a housing defining a thermal cavity and has a first longitudinal edge and an opposing second longitudinal edge, a reflector assembly disposed within the thermal cavity, a heating element, and a lighting element. The housing defines a vent positioned at least one of laterally between a central longitudinal plane of the housing and the first longitudinal edge and laterally between the central longitudinal plane and the opposing second longitudinal edge. The reflector assembly is coupled to an interior surface of the housing. A spacer is positioned between the reflector assembly and the interior surface forming an air gap therebetween. The heating element extends within the central longitudinal plane and is at least partially surrounded by the reflector assembly. The lighting element is positioned along at least one of the first longitudinal edge and the opposing second longitudinal edge such that the vent is positioned laterally between the lighting element and the heating element.
Abstract:
A multi-purpose heating device comprising: a first heating unit disposed at the bottom thereof; a second heating unit disposed at the top thereof; and a pillar which vertically connects one side end of the first heating unit with one side end of the second heating unit so as to form a space between the first and second heating units, the device being capable of cooking food through the first heating unit disposed at the bottom thereof and at the same time applying heat, through the second heating unit disposed at the top thereof, to the food being cooked by the first heating unit disposed at the bottom thereof, wherein the first and second heating units are controlled by individual power supply and power cut-off and the second heating unit can perform a heating function through up and down rotation on the basis of the pillar.
Abstract:
Provided is an infrared radiation cooker in which heat from an infrared lamp is directly applied onto food being grilled, to thus cook the upper and inner parts of the food, as well as onto a rotatable pan, to thus simultaneously cook the lower part of the food. As a result, the food cooks evenly throughout without burning or creating residual odors from above to below as well as from outer to inner, and further the rotatable pan of respectively different structures can be selected depending on an intended cooking purpose, to thereby adjust height of the rotatable pan, which changes a heat intensity, to thus vary a cooking style, and which can be used to boil, grill or roast foods as one would like.
Abstract:
A heat control for an oven permits selective overriding of a holding cycle heating recipe with a boost heating recipe to deliver a boost of heat to food held in a heating compartment. Various types of boost heating recipes may be used. A heat control for an oven graphically displays stages of completion of a preheat cycle on an operator interface. Associated ovens and methods are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a system, apparatus, and method for a modular food tray system having a plurality of food trays that can be used for heating, cooling, or a combination thereof. The system can include a first food tray for heating and a second food tray for cooling, generally mounted at a different elevation from the first food tray. Alternatively, one or both of the food trays can be designed for cooling through temperature elements coupled thereto and the tray can be heated by overhead radiant heating elements for dual temperature capabilities. The first food tray can be mounted above the second food tray. The first food tray can include a thermal shield between a heating element in the first food tray and the second food tray. In other embodiments, the second food tray can be mounted above the first food tray with a thermal shield therebetween.
Abstract:
A food warmer and display case which is especially adapted for use on the counter tops of restaurants and the like is illustrated wherein a glass enclosed area is provided for maintaining food such as cooked chicken for fast food service, in a heated humidified atmosphere. A lower housing is provided for supporting the glass closure and is adapted to provide for shallow containers for water to be heated by means positioned exteriorly of the water receptacles therebelow in such a manner that the heating means may be separately removed from the housing. A one-way reflective element covers a portion of the glass closure for diverting heat inwardly toward the food positioned within the food warmer yet permitting visual inspection thereof from the outside.
Abstract:
A multi-zone food holding bin has a continuous food supporting surface with multiple food holding zones. Each food holding zone is independently controllable so that different food temperatures may be maintained in adjacent food holding zones.

Abstract:
A device for heating or keeping food warm. The device comprises a housing having at least one opening for inserting or removing food, an interior space formed by the housing, and at least one electromagnetic radiation source disposed in the interior space of the housing for emitting the heat radiation. The device is characterized in that the housing comprises a cooling device for cooling at least part of the housing. Advantageously, the cooling device comprises ventilation means for generating an air current which forms a curtain of warm air by means of which it becomes considerably more difficult or impossible for particles or microorganisms to enter the interior space.
