Abstract:
Food orders are divided into components or tasks. Systems and methods of food order preparation communicate instructions for automated actions to devices to carry out the automated actions. A toaster operates to toast a bun according to toaster settings. A bun magazine operates to deliver a bun into the toaster. A condiment dispenser receives the bun from the toaster and operates to dispense at least one portion of at least one condiment onto the bun.
Abstract:
A magnetically retained screen assembly for a conveyor for processing goods is disclosed. The magnetically retained screen assembly includes one or more magnetic screens and one or more magnet assemblies, wherein the one or more magnet assemblies are configured to magnetically retain the one or more magnetic screens within the conveyor support structure.
Abstract:
A barbecue accessory for addressing flare ups, uneven heat distribution, and open lid heat loss features a series of spaced-apart longitudinal members connected together in a flexible endless loop having a width less than a first one of the length and width dimensions of a barbecue firebox. A closed loop drive system is arranged for mounting in the firebox between the bottom wall to engage the flexible endless loop to drive each of the spaced apart members of the flexible endless loop in a closed-loop path back and forth along a second one of the length and width dimensions of the firebox. At least one wiping member presents an upward facing wiping surface in the firebox beneath a moving path of the longitudinal members in close proximity thereto to clean the longitudinal members as they pass the wiping member.
Abstract:
A matchbox oven is disclosed. The matchbox oven includes a housing, a slider, a mover and a heat source. The housing includes a cavity having a first and second openings. The mover moves the slider in and out of the cavity through the first and second openings. The heat source provides heat to the cavity for heating up any food item placed on a portion of the slider located within the cavity. The slider, which is configured to receive food items, includes multiple stoppers to serve as oven covers for preventing heat within the cavity from escaping through the first and second openings. When necessary, a portion of the slider can also be utilized as a heat sink for lowering the temperature of the cavity during oven operation.
Abstract:
An infrared cooker includes an infrared burner element that radiates heat towards a removable cooking surface, the removable cooking surface placed receives heat radiated from the infrared burner element, the cooking surface stores the heat received from the infrared burner element and upon a food item being placed above or upon the removable cooking surface, the food item simultaneously cooks by heat conducted from the removable cooking surface and direct radiation of the infrared burner.
Abstract:
An automated grill automatically transfers frozen food from a freezer component to grilling component by an automatic loading device in response to a signal. Frozen food is loaded in a loading side in the freezer component. When the signal is received indicating that the food is to be grilled, food in a feeding side is raised and delivered to the loading device. When a sensor detects that food is positioned in the loading device, the loading device removes the food from the freezer component and into the grilling component. The food is then grilled as it travels between two substantially vertical grilling structures each surrounded by a conveyor belt. Preferably, the conveyor belt is made of a non-stick coated Invar. A lateral sensor detects and compensates for lateral movement of the conveyor belts. After the food exits the grilling component, the food slides onto a heated holding area for serving.
Abstract:
An oven has a first conveyor, a first burner that directs heat toward the first conveyor from above the first conveyor, and a second burner directs heat toward the first conveyor from below the first conveyor. A method includes providing foodstuff on a conveyor, exposing the foodstuff to heat directed toward the foodstuff from above the conveyor, and exposing the foodstuff to heat directed toward the foodstuff from below the conveyor. Another oven has a first conveyor and first conveyor insulators that surround the first conveyor and define a first zone. Another method includes introducing foodstuff to a first conveyor belt within a first insulated zone, introducing heat into the first insulated zone, and retaining a portion of the heat within the first insulated zone. Another oven has an insulated cooking zone that closely envelopes a cooking path and an insulated oven zone that substantially envelopes the cooking zone.
Abstract:
A conveyor oven including a main blower, a modulating gas valve, and a combustion blower, and a method for operating the same. A conveyor moves food through a main cooking chamber. The modulating gas valve provides fuel to a gas burner, while a combustion blower provides air to the gas burner to aid in combustion of the fuel from the modulating gas valve. The main blower moves heated air into the main cooking chamber to cook food on the conveyor. In some embodiments, a controller adjusts the setting of the modulating gas valve and the speed of the main blower and the combustion blower, and determines an appropriate speed setting for the combustion blower based at least in part on the speed of the main blower and the measured temperature inside the conveyor oven.
Abstract:
A replacement type grill device includes a receiving case defined with a supply opening for supplying broiling rods toward feed screws; an inclined vibration plate forming a bottom of the receiving case, located to be inclined toward the supply opening, and having one end which is coupled to an inner sidewall of the receiving case by a hinge to be rotatable in upward and downward directions and the other end which is positioned adjacent to the supply opening of the receiving case and serves as a free end; vibration generation means for vibrating the inclined vibration plate in response to rotation of a feed control lever and thereby vibratorily accomplishing arrangement of the broiling rods; and arrangement means installed on another inner sidewall of the receiving case to limit a gap between the inclined vibration plate and the arrangement means so that individual supply of broiling rods can be ensured.
Abstract:
