摘要： A system and method for donning and labeling a body cast provides a protective body cast that is labeled. The system and method provides a protective body cast that forms padded protection around the body of a bedridden patient; and especially around the hip, buttock, and lower extremity pressure points. The body cast is composed of a nanomaterial and serves as an envelope for an inner lining of a softer material such as a composite foam rubber. The body cast is sectioned into a multi-layered enclosing cloth support wrap that is fabricated from a nanomaterial, an inner surface having padding, and at least one auxiliary padding that detachably attaches to the body cast for additional padding. Labels detachably attach to the lower portion of the support wrap for indicating information pertinent to the patient. A caregiver accesses the label to read and mark directly on a bedridden patient.

摘要： The present invention relates to a kit comprising at least one base plate for adhesive attachment to the skin around at least one body opening. The kit further comprises at least one separate peripheral device for attachment to the base plate. The base plate comprises a backing layer, having a proximal side facing the user during use, where a skin friendly adhesive is disposed on said proximal side of the backing layer and wherein the base plate is an intact base plate thereby allowing a hole to be cut at a desired position before use. The separate peripheral device comprises a continuous adhesive ring for permanent adhesive attachment between the continuous adhesive ring of the peripheral device and the distal side of the backing layer of the base plate. This allows the user to provide a custom fit for irregular body openings.

摘要： A device for recording and transferring the contours of a wound or opening in tissue of a human being to an adhesive wafer of a wound appliance is provided. The device includes a transparent polymer sheet having a first and a second surface, the first surface being non-adhesive and facing the wound or opening and the second surface having a central portion and an edge portion, with the edge portion being provided with an adhesive layer. The device is placed over the wound or opening and the contours are traced on the central portion of the device. The adhesive layer on the second surface is then adhered to the wafer so that the drawn image contacts the wafer and is directly imparted to the wafer.

摘要： The discovery of this invention is that the use of an aseptic barrier in the form of a layer of material which is impervious to the passage of water in combination with at least one layer of absorbent tissue in the form of a disposable tissue or handkerchief can function to reduce materially the transfer of pathogens such as viruses and bacteria from the bodily internal products, mucous and fluid effluent from inside a person to his hand. The above principles may be embodied in a disposable tissue including an aseptic barrier or in a method of entrapping nasal secretions in such a way that contamination of the environment from infected noses be avoided. This is accomplished by the creation of a trap in the form of a mitten-like bag, resistant to the passage of aqueous liquids, with facial tissue affixed to the outside of this mitten-like bag.
