The crotch section sheet member includes first adhesive sections having first adhesive-coated regions coated continuously in the lengthwise direction of the crotch section sheet member, and the belly side sheet member and the back side sheet member include second adhesive sections having second adhesive-coated regions coated continuously in the widthwise direction of the crotch section sheet member, at sections where the crotch section sheet member is to contact with the belly side sheet member and the back side sheet member. The crotch section sheet member is bonded to the belly side sheet member and the back side sheet member with the first adhesive-coated regions and the second adhesive-coated regions crossing each other.

摘要： A disposable absorbent article may comprise a web that may be folded over at a first fold line forming a first hem, folded over at a second fold line forming a second hem, and folded over at a third fold line and attached in the front and back waist regions to form a first side flap. The web may be folded over at a fourth fold line and attached in the front and back waist regions to form a second side flap. The absorbent article may also comprise a second elastic gathering member attached at or adjacent the side edge of the absorbent article. Also, the absorbent article may comprise laterally opposing deployable belt ears attached to the web in at least one of the waist regions. Each belt ear may be disposed laterally inward until being deployed laterally outward so as to project laterally outward beyond the respective distal edges of the side flaps.

摘要： A simple disposable absorbent article including a chassis and an absorbent assembly. The chassis includes a water-impermeable sheet folded laterally inward at both of its side edges to form opposing side flaps. Each side flap is attached to the interior surface of the chassis adjacent to its end edges. Each side flap has a longitudinally extending elastic gathering member attached adjacent to its proximal edge. The absorbent assembly is smaller in width and in length than the chassis. The side edges and end edges of the absorbent assembly may be disposed proximally relative to the respective side edges and end edges of the chassis. The absorbent assembly includes an absorbent core that may contain superabsorbent particles, which may be contained inside pockets. The chassis may be extensible. The absorbent assembly may be attached in a cruciform pattern to the chassis to allow portions of the chassis to extend laterally.

摘要： An apparatus and method for successively forming disposable diapers wherein the diaper includes a fluidpermeable top cover layer, a moisture-absorbent core under the top cover layer and including a pad of fibrous material and sheets of cellulosic material on each side of the pad, and a fluid-impervious bottom cover layer under the interior core and secured to the top cover layer along longitudinal and transverse edges thereon. The apparatus and method include mechanisms for and steps of, as follows. Supplying and positioning an elongate moisture-absorbent core including a pad of fibrous material of less width than the width of the core and sheets of cellulosic material on each side of the pad. Embossing and securing the sheets of cellulosic material together along longitudinally-extending areas on each side of the pad for forming an envelope of the sheets of cellulosic sheets around the pad. Supplying and positioning an elongate fluid-permeable top cover layer on the top of the core and an elongate fluid-impervious bottom cover layer under the core. Feeding the superimposed top cover layer, interior core and bottom cover layer along a predetermined longitudinal path of travel. Applying a plurality of short, spaced-apart, generally longitudinally-extending, adhesive strips between the top cover layer and the bottom cover layer transversely across the superimposed top cover layer and bottom cover layer at longitudinally-spaced intervals for transversely securing the top cover layer and the bottom cover layer together at longitudinally-spaced intervals to form successively interconnected diapers. Securing the top cover layer and the bottom cover layer together along longitudinal side edges of the successively interconnected diaper. Transversely severing the successively interconnected diapers generally medially of the plurality of the longitudinally-extending adhesive strips to form individual diapers.

Control and actuating devices are connected with the moving devices for sequentially operating the article moving device a predetermined number of times and then operating the counted group moving device so that a predetermined number of individual articles will be counted and segregated into a group of such articles.
