摘要: A graphical user interface (GUI) of a patient bed is used by a caregiver to manually enter location data indicative of a location in a healthcare facility at which the patient bed is located. A first screen for manually entering location data is displayed on the GUI after a threshold period of time elapses subsequent to a power plug of the patient bed being plugged into an alternating current (AC) outlet of the healthcare facility and subsequent to casters of the patient bed being braked. A voice prompt is also given from the patient bed after the threshold period of time elapses to remind the caregiver to manually enter the location data. After manual entry of the location data, circuitry of the patient bed transmits the location data entered by the caregiver and a bed identification (ID) from the bed for receipt by a remote computer for purposes of making a bed-to-room association.

摘要: An inflation identification connector and an air mattress system having the same is provided. The inflation identification connector is insertable into a connection seat of a gas delivery host. The connection seat has a light detection component coupled to a controller disposed in the gas delivery host. The inflation identification connector includes a body and an identification structure. The detection result of the light detection component depends on the identification structure and thus is conducive to identification. Upon its insertion into the connection seat, the inflation identification connector is identified by the gas delivery host, enhancing ease of use and protecting manual operation against mistakes. The gas delivery host is not only applicable to different types of air mattresses but also conducive to streamlined management of the air mattress system and reduction of management costs and risks.

摘要: A payload aware medical cart, system and method utilizes a computer system to take inventory of the medical products stored in the medical cart. Each medical product carries an ID tag that provides a unique identifier when queried by an ID sensor, and the medical cart detects the contents of each compartment by reading the ID tags of the products placed in that compartment thereby producing an inventory enumerating all products and the quantity of each product per compartment.

摘要: In a medication cart apparatus housing a plurality of individual medication bins, the invention provides devices and a method for reducing the risk of nosocomial infection through the use of disposable bin liners. In some applications the bin liners may be color coded for a predetermined use or patient, compartmentalized with dividers, or customized with special labels. The disposable liners may have a tapered form so that multiple liners may be stored in a nested stack to minimize space requirements and to be loaded into a liner dispenser system.

摘要: A microfilter (4) for fitting into a filter-box of an infants incubator comprises a pad (22) of non-woven filtering material enclosed in an envelope (21) of water-repellent cohesive and non-woven material which is highly permeable to air and oxygen. The envelope prevents the escape of fibrous particles from the pad and has one side colored differently from the other to reduce the risk of being replaced back-to-front in the filterbox. The envelope may be placed in a similar envelope. It may also have one face of multilayer construction with the layers individually removable so that they can be discarded when dirty.

摘要: The present invention relates to a bolster which is used for physical therapy especially for handicapped children. The bolster comprises a pair of solid discs at the ends thereof and a plurality of spaced, hollowed-out intermediate discs having a cylindrical outer shell preferably of relatively light gauge metal wrapped thereabout. The cylindrical shell is then covered with a layer of foam rubber which is adhered thereto and turned over onto the periphery of the end discs. A brightly colored vinyl covering is then placed over the foam rubber. The operation may be facilitated by covering the foam rubber first with a plastic sheet or other low friction thin covering and slipping the vinyl thereover. The vinyl covering is secured in place to the end discs and a handle is fastened to one of the end discs for ease of handling. The resulting product is extremely sturdy, durable and light weight as well as being relatively inexpensive thus facilitating its use by handicapped individuals in physical therapy applications.
