Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed herein for ultraviolet saunas. Systems include a plurality of walls of an enclosure, the enclosure being a sauna enclosure configured to accommodate a user. The systems further include a plurality of heating elements coupled to the plurality of walls, a plurality of emissive elements configured to generate ultraviolet (UV) light, and a controller coupled to the plurality of heating elements and the plurality of emissive elements. The controller includes one or more processors configured to generate activation properties for each of the plurality of heating elements and the plurality of emissive elements, activate at least one of the plurality of heating elements based on the plurality of activation properties, and activate the at least one emissive element based on the plurality of activation properties.

Abstract: To provide an apparatus for promoting ineffective sweating includes an air heating unit for heating air in a sweating room, a mist generator for generating mist, a blower for circulating air in the sweating room by supplying mist, and a control device. The sweating room is provided with a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor for measuring temperature and relative humidity respectively in the sweating room. The control device is provided with a dew-point temperature determination unit for determining a dew-point temperature td in the sweating room based on the temperature and the relative humidity and a temperature setting unit for setting a body temperature of a user, and controls the air heating unit and the mist generator so that the dew-point temperature td is kept higher than the body temperature. This configuration can promote comfortable ineffective sweating with the low physical burden on the user.

Abstract: A far infrared (“FIR”) sauna cabin equipped with a far infrared (“FIR”) heating elements constructed of ceramic, carbon, and/or light emitting diodes (“LED”), designed for therapeutic use in a sauna, capable of emitting far infrared energy, and heating an individual's skin for purposes of rejuvenation, anti-aging, weight loss, and acne therapy. The FIR heating element emits IR energy in a wavelength and frequency optimum for resonant absorption by the human body, resulting in the release of toxins stored within subcutaneous fatty deposits, which are then carried out of the person's system as he or she sweats. The FIR sauna cabin is further equipped with necessary hardware and tools to effectively create a more flexible environment in which the user can change seating configurations, move about more freely and conduct stretching routines or exercises within the sauna cabin, using specialized fittings integrated to the interior of the sauna cabin.

Abstract: Examples of infrared heating panels are described as having a non-linear power density profile along a length of the heating panel. The power density profile can include a first power density zone and a second power density zone, each zone corresponding to an area of the heating panel having a separate power density in response to a current flow. An infrared heating panel can include multiple heating elements arranged adjacently in a row and electrically connected together by at least two power buses extending perpendicularly across the heating elements. In one example, the first power density zone is located between a first power bus and an end of the heating elements. The second power density zone can be located between the first power bus and an opposite end of the heating elements. Infrared sauna systems and methods of generating heat for a sauna are also provided.
