摘要: An aircraft passenger service unit includes infrared sensor configured for detecting infrared radiation and for providing a corresponding sensor output, and a controller, which is configured for receiving and evaluating the sensor output provided by the infrared sensor. The infrared sensor is an infrared sensor array configured for detecting infrared radiation emitted within a plurality of spatial sectors covering a detection area below the aircraft passenger service unit; and the infrared sensor array is configured for detecting the infrared radiation individually for each spatial sector and for providing individual sensor signals for the plurality of spatial sectors. The infrared sensor array is configured such that each passenger seat arranged within the detection area is covered by at least two of the plurality of spatial sectors, respectively; and the controller is configured for determining a passenger seating position within a passenger seat from the individual sensor signals.

摘要: A pressure regulator system is disclosed. The system includes: a valve module; a controller; and a plurality of sensors. The controller is operably coupled to the valve module to adjust outflow of gas from an outlet of the valve module to a plurality of masks in an interior of an aircraft. The plurality of sensors comprises at least one of a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor and the controller is configured to receive feedback of sensed data at the outlet of the valve module about at least outlet pressure and ambient temperature from at least the pressure sensor and the temperature sensor and adjust the outflow of gas from the outlet of the valve module by determining an open-valve time based on the feedback of sensed data received from each sensor.

In certain examples, a chemical oxygen generator includes a chemical oxygen core and a perforated metal covering surrounding the chemical oxygen core along a length of the chemical oxygen core. In some aspects, the perforated metal covering has an opening ratio of approximately 0 to 100 percent.

摘要: A wearable device for comprehensive bio-monitoring of physiologic metrics to determine metabolic, pulmonary and cardiac function and oxygen saturation measurements from breathing mask apparatuses. The device non-invasively monitors the physiologic profile of the subject, and is capable of detecting physiologic changes, predicting onset of symptoms, and alerting the wearer or another person or system. In some embodiments, the device comprises both a wearable sensor suite and a portable gas composition and flow analysis system. In preferred embodiments, it comprises a miniaturized non-invasive sensor suite for detecting physiologic changes to detect dangerous breathing or other health conditions. The acquired physiologic profile is used to generate alarms or warnings based on detectable physiological changes, to adjust gas delivery to the subject, alter mission profiles, or to transfer control of the craft or other duties away from a debilitated subject. The device is compact, portable, vehicle independent and non-encumbering to the subject.
