The method comprises selecting at least one physical fitness activity to be performed by a person in a fitness area during a predetermined activity period. Further, the method comprises selecting a color environment to be produced in the fitness area during the predetermined activity period. The method may also include the selection of an aural environment to be produced in the fitness area during the predetermined activity period. The system comprises a color generator, to produce the color environment, an audio generator, to produce the aural environment, and a main control unit to synchronize the actuation of each.

摘要： An exercise facility provides a physical space allowing unconstrained user movement in a low light level. The low light level improves the perceived user satisfaction with exercising, and may improve duration, frequency, and quality of the exercise. The room in which the physical space is located may have characteristics that reduce inhibitions against physical movement. These characteristics may include a dark floor, dark walls with a matte finish, and indirect lighting off of a light-colored ceiling. The environment may also aid in increasing focus of the user on the exercise task, removing distractions that might otherwise divert the attention of the user. The user-friendly environment may also aid the exercise system in following movement of the user within the physical space. For example, the environment surrounding the physical space may provide less interference than prior environments to infrared sensor systems.

The heating device is connected to the mounting bracket and the backrest and has a heating panel, a controller and a power cord. The heating panel is mounted in the backrest. The controller is electrically connected to the heating panel to control the temperature of the heating panel and is securely mounted on a rear side of the backrest. The power cord is electrically connected to the controller to transport electricity to the controller.

For biofeedback, the device can include a heart rate calculator to provide feedback on the level of exercise intensity and caloric consumption. The light emitting capacity allows the user to create patterns in use. Thus, the device can be multi-faceted able to provide ambient music, recording and viewing video, enveloping the user in a “bath” of light, sound, very subtle electromagnetic fields. All of said baths are created at distances from the users body that correspond to the length of the users arms, degree of bend at the elbow joint and chosen pathway for the circular/orbital movements.
