摘要: A modular sensing device can generate output via one or more output devices. The modular sensing device can include an inertial measurement unit that generates sensor data corresponding to user gestures performed by a user, a wireless communication module, a mode selector enabling the user to select a mode of the modular sensing device out of a plurality of modes, and one or more output devices configured to generate output based on the user gestures and the selected mode. The selected mode configures the manner in which the modular sensing device generates output via the one or more output devices based on the user gestures.

摘要: A system can include a wearable device and a self-propelled device. The wearable device can include a controller that, in response to a user input on the mode selector, initiates a selected mode from a plurality of modes on the wearable device. The selected mode can cause the controller to establish a communication link with the self-propelled device, and generate an output using a feedback mechanism instructing the user to perform a series of actions with the wearable device. In accordance with the selected mode, the controller can interpret sensor data from one or more sensors to determine whether the user has performed the series of actions while utilizing the wearable device. Based on determining whether the user has performed the series of actions, the controller can generate one of a positive or a negative feedback using the feedback mechanism.

摘要: In one embodiment there is provided an aquatic toy configured for movement under water. The aquatic toy employs sensors to automatically turn on when placed in water and further employs a timing circuit to automatically turn the toy off after a predetermined amount of time. The aquatic toy further includes a shock sensor to monitor movement of the toy when in water and after the timer expires. Movement such as tapping on the tank, splashing the water, or physical movement of the toy will turn on the toy and re-activate the timer. However, the sensors can further detect when the toy is dry to ensure the shock sensor is only active when the sensor is wet.

摘要: A remote control pool skimmer for picking up surface debris, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises a pair of elongated buoyant hulls spaced from one another, each hull having a bow and a stern, and at least one cross member interconnecting the hulls to one another, a remotely controlled drive system connected to the pool skimmer for propelling the hulls across the surface of the water in a selected direction and a collection net spanning the space between the pair of hulls, the net being oriented in order to collect surface debris as the hulls move through the water. In terms of weight distribution from bow to stern, the hulls are weighted more toward the stern.
