摘要： The shower base (1) of a shower head consists of a rigid perforated plate (1a), which has a number of holes (4, 5). Set inside each of the holes (4, 5) in the perforated plate (1a) is a hose-type jet insert (6, 8) made of a flexible material which, owing to its material properties, can be automatically flexed to dislodge limescale deposits. The shower base (1) is sealed against the rest of the shower head, in particular against its housing (2) by means of one or more seals (25, 29). This/these seal(s) (25, 29) is/are made of the same material as the jet inserts (6, 8) and is/are manufactured jointly with these, for preference connected in one piece. In this way, it is not necessary for the seals (25, 29) to be manufactured, kept in store and assembled separately.

摘要： A shower head has a rigid body forming a pressurizable compartment having a downstream wall of composite synthetic-resin material having an inner face and formed with an array of throughgoing holes so that pressurized water in the compartment will exit therefrom through the holes. A unitary liner sheet of a soft elastomer has an outer face bonded to the inner face of the downstream wall and is formed with respective tubular nipples fitting in and projecting through the holes. Each nipple forms a throughgoing passage having an inner end opening in the compartment and an outer end opening outside the body. The liner sheet and integral nipples are molded in situ against the inner face of the plate forming the downstream wall of the shower body. The composite synthetic-resin material is a polybutyleneterephthalate and the elastomer is silicone or the composite synthetic-resin material can be polypropylene and the elastomer a thermoplastic.

摘要： Apparatus particularly suited for use in mixing ammonia gas with hard water is disclosed. The apparatus includes an ejector assembly having a throat with a flexible tubular liner which is periodically flexed inwardly to loosen any solid matter which may have formed on the inside of the liner. The liner is flexed by a three-way valve connected to the water supply line and controlled by timers and a pressure switch. If desired, a similarly-lined tubular extension may be mounted downstream of the throat and flexed periodically to loosen any matter deposited therein. An orifice may be mounted in a diaphragm upstream of the throat to move in response to liner flexure for limiting solid matter accumulation adjacent the throat inlet.

摘要： Formed within an emitter body is an elongated channel extending between a fluid inlet port and a fluid discharge port. The crosssectional area of the channel is small in order to limit the fluid flow to a low level. To obviate clogging by sand particles, and the like, each channel has located transversely therein at least two spaced-apart resilient diaphragms each provided with a central orifice capable of enlarging as a particle lodges in the orifice and causes a pressure differential between the two opposite surfaces of the diaphragm. As the orifice expands, the particle is impelled through the orifice, thereby unclogging the orifice. This process is repeated as the particle proceeds through the emitter, the particle finally emerging from the emitter''s discharge port onto the adjacent ground surface.

摘要： A nozzle for dispensing fluids with suspended solid particulates without experiencing permanent partial or total clogging is provided. The nozzle is made from a elastomeric material and has a dome-shaped tip. The dome-shaped tip has a slit that provides an elongated orifice which generates a fan-type spray pattern while allowing solid particulates to pass through the nozzle without permanent clogging. The slit is normally maintained closed at rest and provides precompression and shut-off functions. Several versions of the nozzle are described, such as a one-piece nozzle and a nozzle insert. Additionally, the nozzle can be attached to a manually actuated pump device and be used as a spray delivery system.

摘要： A shower head has a body forming a rear compartment pressurizable with water and a forwardly open mouth having an inner periphery and an end disk generally closing the mouth, extending perpendicular to an axis, and having an elastically deformable outer rim formed with a plurality of axially through-going and radially outwardly open grooves opening rearwardly into the compartment and radially outwardly closed by the body. The rim further is formed with an annular and elastically deformable lip projecting axially past a downstream face of the disk and a downstream end of the body. The grooves are formed in the lip. Thus the critical downstream ends of the flow passages constituted by the grooves are formed in an elastically deformable lip that can be deformed. Since the deposits are normally very hard, such deformation of the lip will flake any lime deposits off.

摘要： The shower base (1) of an otherwise conventional shower head comprises a perforated plate (1a) made of a rigid material and a jet insert (1b) which is made of a flexible material and which is attached to the perforated plate (1a) in such a way that it can be removed. The jet insert (1b) consists of a base plate (9) which extends along the outer surface of the perforated plate (1a) and protects it against impact damage. There are preformed on to the base plate (9) of the jet insert (1b) a number of hose-type jet attachments (10) each of which extend through a hole (3) in the perforated plate (1a), going from outside in, in fact, such that the free ends of the jet attachments (10) are located inside the shower head. The jet insert (1b) has a locking device (32), with which it is secured to the perforated plate (1a) in such a way that it can be removed. The entire jet insert (1b) can be removed from the perforated plate (1a) by applying axial pull, without having to dismantle the shower base (1) from the shower head housing. The entire jet insert (1b) which is removed from the shower head can easily be cleaned and in particular manual flexing can be carried out to remove limescale deposits which build up on the wall surface of the jet channels (13) going through the jet attachments (10), especially in the area around the water outlet openings (15) (FIG. 1).

Of course the impact protection plate (1b) has collar-shaped lugs (12) going through it which are preformed on the perforated plate (1a) and which surround at least those hose-type jet inserts (8) which produce the high-power jets owing to their relatively narrow jet channel (9). The collar-shaped lugs (12), which are made of a rigid material, limit the volume of the jet insert (8), which, when flexed, contributes to the elastic deformation to a specific value, which would not be the case if the jet inserts (8) in question were preformed in one piece on the impact protection plate (1b). The latter configuration is, however, possible for those hose-type jet inserts (6), which produce the soft jets owing to their relatively wide jet channel (7).

摘要： A shower head has a body having a wall and forming therewith a pressurizable compartment. This wall has an inner face in the compartment and an outer face and is formed therebetween with an array of throughgoing perforations. Respective flexible tubular extensions are provided on the outer face of the wall at the perforations. These extensions can be deformed to flake off lime formations adhering to the extensions. The extensions can be unitary with the wall, in which case the wall is made of an elastomer, or respective tubular liners in the perforations having outer ends projecting past the outer face can form the respective extensions. In this case each liner can have laterally projecting inner and outer ridges respectively bearing against the inner and outer faces of the wall. Furthermore each liner has a predetermined diameter of between 1 mm and 2 mm, preferably 1.2 mm, and each extension extends beyond the outer face by a distance generally equal to the respective diameter.
