    摘要： A method of manufacturing a filtering screen includes: attaching handle members (3) to edges of at least one wire cloth (1); providing a jig comprising tensioning means (23); placing the at least one wire cloth (1) in the jig and engaging the handle members (3) with handle member engagement portions (15) of the tensioning means (23). The tensioning means (23) are operated to drive the handle members (3) outwardly to tension the wire cloth (1) in orthogonal directions. The method also includes pressing the tensioned wire cloth (1) against a screen frame (6); bonding the wire cloth (1) to the screen frame (6); and trimming the wire cloth.

    摘要： A sizing screen for sizing particulate materials, for example, is provided which uses a plurality of wire loops arranged to define a plurality of parallel wire strands extending between a first end and a second end of a screen frame. The frame has anchor means mounted at its first end and tension means at its second end. In the simplest form of the invention, pairs of wire strands are adjusted simultaneously by the tension means. In more advanced forms of the invention, means are provided for adjusting pluralities of the wire loops, each wire loop adjustment corresponding to two wire strand adjustments. The frame is constructed so that the wire strands have a double crown. One crown extends along the width dimension of the frame, and a second crown extends along the length dimension of the frame. The double crown arrangement promotes more even spreading of material as that material travels along the wire screen and is important in maintaining wire strand position. Various other features include a unique method of wire loop attachment to the frame, and means for setting the tension of each wire loop automatically.

    摘要： The screen wire members are removed by first loosening the nuts on the clamp bar holding bolts and then moving the bolts axially inwardly to thereby move the clamp bars to a non-holding position. This is accomplished by the use of a plurality of clamp bar tools which are fastened to the ends of pairs of vertically spaced bolts, the lower of which is at the level where the screen wire member is to be removed and the upper of which is at the next higher level of the multi-screen deck assembly.
