    摘要: A hot extrusion method for producing a metal piece comprising a tubular portion whereof one of the two ends is extended by a complex shape is provided. The method comprises: heating a billet from which the piece is made; and transferring the billet into a press extrusion tool, the tool including a cavity where the billet is placed and the shape of which substantially corresponds to the outer shape of the piece. The metal has, cold, a flow stress equal to or above 200 MPa. The complex shape and tubular portion are made by the following successive steps: at least one direct extrusion step using the first punch to produce the complex shape; a step for replacing the first punch with a second punch on the tool; at least one reverse extrusion step in the same tool to produce the tubular portion; and a step for evacuating the extruded piece.

    摘要: A method for forging/molding a coarse blank of an aluminum transmission shaft, including steps of: placing burn-in softened aluminum material into a preheated mold; using a first punch head to first forge the aluminum material in the mold cavity from outer side of the molding hole so as to form a blank body of the transmission shaft with two pivot heads wherein one pivot head is located at each end of the transmission shaft and a shorter middle shaft rod; moving out the first punch head and connecting an extension mold with the mold; and immediately using a second punch head to secondarily forge the blank body in the mold cavity from outer side of the extension hole so as to make an end section of the second punch head extend into the mold cavity to a position near the inner end of the mold cavity, whereby the middle shaft rod of the blank body outward axially extends to the extension mold into a predetermined length to form the transmission shaft.

    摘要: A process for producing an extrusion of small cross section from a workpiece in which the workpiece is subjected to a bulk compressive stress in a container so that the end of the workpiece is forced into a reducing die at the end of the container. The material of the workpiece in the reducing die is subjected to an additional localised compressive stress by a tool member having a working face which is applied to the material of the workpiece in the reducing die. Under the combined compressive stresses the material of the workpiece is formed through a die orifice. In one arrangement a rotary tool member is employed which is moved in a circular path through the workpiece material in the reducing die. In another arrangement the tool member is in the form of a reciprocating punch.

    摘要: Die arrangement for use with conventional and hydrostatic extrusion presses consisting of a first die for providing a first extruded section of a billet and a second die cooperating with the first die to further extrude said first extruded section to final shape. Successive dies beyond the second die are contemplated to provide successive step-wise extrusion for greater reductions, especially of large billets. The method of the invention comprises step-wise incremental sequential extrusion of the billet and extruded portions of the billet until the final shape is achieved.
