The support system includes a tool support adapted to support the tubular portion of the component thereon. The support system includes a mandrel at least partially received in an aperture of the tool support. The mandrel includes a plurality of segments. The system includes a pin movably received through the aperture of the tool support. The support system includes an_actuator coupled with the pin and adapted to selectively move the pin. The pin is adapted to selectively engage with each the segments of the mandrel. The pin is further adapted to displace each of the plurality of segments radially outwards so that the segments engage with an inner surface of the tubular portion and supports the tubular portion during the operation performed by the machine.

    摘要: In a method of bending a pipe material, in order to use an apparatus, such as a press, and prevent the pipe material from being made thin and cracks from being generated, one side of a cylindrical pipe material is firmly held by a first clamp and another side thereof is loosely held by a second clamp. The clamp is relatively moved downward with respect to the clamp. At this time, pressing force is applied to the pipe material in an axial direction from both ends thereof. The pipe material is plastically deformed by being guided by one quarter spherical surface of a first mandrel and one quarter spherical surface of a second mandrel, whereby two bent portions and an intermediate straight portion are formed.

    摘要: A mandrel support device includes a mandrel sleeve positionable on a mandrel to form a reservoir in fluid communication with a mandrel passage, and with. The sleeve may include a bore configured to receive a portion of the mandrel, a lubrication channel formed on the sleeve exterior, and a lubrication passage extending between the channel and the bore to permit fluid communication therebetween. A mandrel base may define a socket for interchangeably receiving the sleeve, and a lubrication bore may extend from the socket to the base to align with the lubrication channel when the sleeve is received in the socket. A fluid fitting mounted on the base in fluid communication with the lubrication bore and the lubrication channel of the sleeve such that fluid moving through the fluid fitting enters the bore, the channel and passage to reach the reservoir and mandrel passage at any rotational position of the sleeve with respect to the base.
