In a cross section perpendicular to the first axis, a diameter of a rolling circle in which an outline of the cutting blades and a target online of the gear make rolling contact with each other is larger than a diameter of a tooth depth center circle.

    摘要: A novel method of manufacturing a toothed disc is taught wherein the teeth can be cold formed to a relatively high set of tolerances in a relatively time-efficient manner. A cold-formed disc blank with an annular thickened ring about its periphery is forced through a set of tooth forming rollers which engage the annular thickened ring. As the blank is forced through the set of rollers, the rollers cold forming tooth structures in the annular ring. In some circumstances, the tooth structure can be a final desired tooth profile and in other circumstances, the disc blank may be forced through two or more different sets of tooth forming rollers, each set of tooth forming rollers contributing to the forming of the final, desired tooth profile.

    摘要: A device and method for manufacture of workpieces having defined profiling. A device includes an axially moveable workpiece holder and at least one forming tool. There is a first drive structured and arranged to intermittently rotate the workpiece holder about a longitudinal axis of a workpiece held in the workpiece holder, and a second drive, separate from the first drive, structured and arranged to rotate the at least one forming tool to act periodically on the workpiece. The device also includes an electronic control operably connected to the first drive and the second drive, which controls intermittent rotational movement of the workpiece holder based upon the second drive. The at least one forming tool includes profiled wheels or rollers that are driven to continually rotate along a circular orbit that is oriented parallel or obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the workpiece.

    摘要: A method of producing a sliding sleeve for gearshift mechanisms includes two forming steps. In the first forming step a preform, which has been pushed onto a tool mandrel with an external toothing, is formed by roller spinning so as to form on the inner circumferential surface of the preform the toothing implemented on the outer circumferential surface of the tool mandrel. Subsequently, the thus formed preform is formed by profile rolling on its outer circumferential surface so as to obtain a formed part. Finally, the tool mandrel is removed from the formed part.

The invention also relates to a gear part, particularly a timing belt pulley, which has a substantially rotationally symmetrical construction and a circumferential area and which is provided with a transversely directed profile. According to the invention, the circumferential area has at least one substantially circumferentially directed groove, the transversely directed profile being positioned axially on either side of the groove.
