摘要: A method and apparatus for processing a metallic workpiece with defined edges (e.g., a gear) comprises media blasting of the workpiece by directing a first media against exposed surfaces on the workpiece to increase the root strength of the gear, the blasting causing the defined edges to be radiused or mushroomed, ceasing the media blasting, loading the workpiece into a finishing apparatus, and subjecting the workpiece to a finishing process with a second media, the exposed surfaces on the workpiece being subjected to the finishing process to reduce the radiused edges on the workpiece created from the media blasting. The process of moving the workpiece to the spindle-finishing apparatus from the media blasting may be performed automatically by a machine. Once the workpiece has been subjected to the finishing process with the second media, it may be removed from the spindle-finishing machine, washed, and rinsed with rust inhibitor whereby wear properties of the workpiece are enhanced.

The internal geometry has a maximum diameter and a minimum diameter. The remanufactured internal geometry is created by removing a worn internal geometry to a pre-cladding diameter, cladding the inner surface in a plurality of layers by laser cladding to produce a cladded surface, and machining the cladded surface to produce the remanufactured internal geometry.

摘要: A method for producing gears, wherein in a first step a set of teeth is formed by means of a skiving wheel rotationally driven by a tool spindle in a workpiece gear rotationally driven synchronously thereto by a workpiece spindle, wherein the workpiece spindle and the tool spindle are at an axis intersection angle to each other and the advancement occurs in the tooth-flank extension direction, and wherein in a second step at least some teeth of the set of teeth are machined by means of a tooth-machining tool. A combined tool is used, in the case of which the toothmachining tool and the skiving wheel are fixedly connected to each other. Between the two steps, the combined tool remains connected to the tool spindle and the workpiece gear remains connected to the workpiece spindle. Between the two steps, merely the relative position of the tool spindle in relation to the workpiece spindle and the rotational speed ratio of the two spindles are changed.

摘要: A bevel gear set and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The bevel gear set may include a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear. The first and second bevel gears may be spiral bevel gears or hypoid spiral bevel gears. The first and second bevel gears may each have a gear tooth surface having a plurality of teeth formed thereon, such that the teeth of the first bevel gear and the teeth of the second bevel gear are configured to engage in a meshing engagement. The teeth are machined onto the respective gear tooth surface via a face milling process. Each tooth includes a tooth top, a plurality of meshing surfaces, and at least one chamfer. The chamfer may be formed at an abutment edge disposed between the tooth top and a respective meshing surface via a brushing process directly following the machining of the teeth.

摘要: A method for producing a ring with a toothing may involve (a) ring rolling a pre-ring to form a ring blank, (b) introducing a pre-toothing into the ring blank to form a pre-toothed ring, wherein the pre-toothing has teeth with a first tooth height, (c) heating, quenching, and tempering the pre-toothed ring to form a heat-treated pre-toothed ring, and (d) finish-toothing the heat-treated pre-toothed ring to form a ring with a toothing. The toothing may have teeth with a second tooth height that is greater than the first tooth height. Further, the introducing of the pre-toothing or the finish-toothing of the heat-treated pre-toothed ring may be performed by way of a metal machining process.

摘要: An apparatus for smoothing an inner toothing and/or an outer toothing of a component part. At least two radially adjustable smoothing gears, which engage in the inner toothing and/or outer toothing, are rotatably arranged inside the inner toothing and/or outside of the outer toothing. During smoothing, the component part is not firmly clamped but rather only rests loosely on a support. A thrust ring is provided at least at one of the smoothing gears for limiting axial movements of the component part, which occur during smoothing.
