摘要: Disclosed are systems and devices for controlling the closing of a door. A head unit is to be installed in a doorjamb, comprising a chamber filled at least in part with a shear thickening fluid. A piston is connected to a cap and configured to exert pressure against the shear thickening fluid in response to a force applied to the cap. The systems and devices provide an adjustable design that resists door slamming and aggressive closure, serving as a safety device as well as noise, damage and pet control around doors (preventing closure if desired). An install kit provides exact location, depth control and guide to place over the head unit to tap it into place with a hammer.

摘要: A jig configured to be positioned relative to first and second members, which extend along mutually transverse first and second axes respectively and are spaced along a third axis which is transverse to the first and second axes, for locating a hole-forming element with respect to the members and guiding the thus located element along said third axis during driving of the hole-forming element into the first member whereby a hold thus formed in the first member extends along said third axis for application therethrough, axially guided by the jig so positioned and/or the hole, of a connecting element to interconnect the members, such that first and second portions of the connecting element thus applied are received at correct positions in the first and second members respectively, the jig comprising: locators arranged to be received against the first and second members and rotationally about the first and second axes; and a guide defining an axis that is fixed relative to the locators (“guide axis”), the guide being configured to support the hole-forming element such that it extends along the guide axis and being arranged such that the guide axis is coaxial with the third axis when the locators are so received, whereby said driving of the hole-forming element forms the hole along the third axis.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a modular fixture for a rotor shaft assembly and a system for rotor-bolt nut removal. The modular fixture includes a plurality of arcuate plates that is annularly arranged about a common centerline. Each arcuate plate includes a plurality of jack legs that extends from and perpendicular to a bottom side surface of the respective arcuate plate of the plurality of arcuate plates. The system includes the modular fixture and a vertical drill. The vertical drill is connected to at least one arcuate plate of the plurality of arcuate plates. The vertical drill includes a vertically adjustable drive shaft and a bit that is connected to an end of the vertically adjustable drive shaft. In use, the bit cuts or turns a rotor-bolt nut or may core a rotor bolt of a rotor shaft assembly.

The system can include: a mount for engaging a first side of a turbine rotor, the mount including: a drill plate for coupling with the first side of the turbine rotor, the drill plate having: a body; a feed opening on a first side of the body; a passage extending from the feed opening through the body; and a second opening on a second side of the body, the second opening coupled with the passage and positioned to align with the pre-formed hole in the turbine rotor; an alignment bushing for engaging the pre-formed hole in the rotor at a second side of the rotor; and a cutting device for extending through the body and alignment bushing, the cutting device for machining the hole in the blade, the cutting device aligned along a chamfer axis relative to a primary axis of the turbine rotor.
