摘要: A helical broach which eliminates the need for a fixing means for fixing a workpiece during gear machining is provided. The helical broach includes: a plurality of cutting edges; a spiral flute formed between adjacent cutting edges to extend in a spiral manner with a predetermined helix angle with respect to an axial direction of the helical broach; and a gullet formed between adjacent cutting edges to extend with a predetermined helix angle with respect to a circumferential direction of the helical broach. In the helical broach, the expression: 0.5≤tan β/tan(α+β)≤0.7 is satisfied, wherein β is the helix angle of the spiral flute, and (90°−α) is the helix angle of the gullet with reference to a central axis of the helical broach. An internal gear machining method using the helical broach is also provided.

摘要: The shell of this helical broach (1) is formed by stacking a plurality of wafer shells (20W(1)-20W(N)) in the axial direction, and is obtained by forming on the wafer shells (20W(1)-20W(N)) finishing blades (30W(1)-30W(N)) corresponding to teeth grooves on a piece to be cut (W) and forming the finishing blades (30W(1)-30W(N)) such that the blade width gradually increases with each of the aforementioned wafer shells (20W(1)-20W(N)) from the leading end of the cutting direction toward the trailing end of the cutting direction.

摘要: This helical broach forms a twisted groove at the inner circumference of a machined hole of a workpiece by a plurality of cutting teeth, the plurality of cutting teeth include a plurality of circumference cutting teeth which are arranged on the tip-end side of the broach body, and include a plurality of tooth thickness cutting teeth which are arranged on the rear-end side of the broach body. The plurality of tooth thickness cutting teeth include cutting edges and guiding edges, respectively. The tooth thickness cutting tooth positioned closest to the rear-end side of the broach body is provided with the guiding edge instead of the cutting edge at the intersecting ridge part between a rake face and a lateral surface facing one wall surface of both groove wall surfaces of the twisted groove of the workpiece.

摘要: A helical broach 1 for roughing includes a cutting tooth part 30 in which n spline teeth 31 are arranged side by side in an axial direction. The spline teeth 31 each include cutting teeth 32 which are arranged at a predetermined helix angle. The cutting teeth 32 each have an acute angle portion and an obtuse angle portion on both sides thereof in a circumferential direction. The cutting teeth disposed on the first to n−1th spline teeth 31 (S1 to Sn−1) in the circumferential direction are each formed in such a way that its height on the acute angle portion side differs from that on the obtuse angle portion side. The cutting teeth (Sn) of the nth spline tooth (Sn) are each formed in such a way that its height stays constant in the circumferential direction.

摘要: For producing a cylindrical surface that has a surface structure of predetermined geometry suitable for application of material by thermal spraying, a geometrically predetermined groove structure of minimal depth and width is introduced into the surface by a tool embodied as a follow-on tool in that a groove cross-section is processed successively to a final size. In order for the surface to be producible in mass production with constant quality, the groove structure is worked in such that first a base groove is introduced with a groove bottom width that is smaller than the groove bottom width of the finished groove. Subsequently, at least one flank of the base groove is processed for producing an undercut groove profile by a non-cutting action or cutting action wherein the introduced groove structure is deformed in such a way that the groove openings are constricted by upsetting deformations of material.
