Abstract: Two cylinder heads are disposed side by side. Upper side intake valve holes of one of the cylinder heads and upper side exhaust valve holes of the other of the cylinder heads are simultaneously machined by a multi-spindle head integrally including intake side tools and exhaust side tools. After moving the one of the cylinder heads upward by a pitch of the intake valves and moving the other of the cylinder heads upward by a pitch of the exhaust valves, remaining intake valve holes of the one of the cylinder heads and remaining exhaust valve holes of the other of the cylinder heads are simultaneously machined.

Abstract: A tool spindle for a drilling tool may include a drive shaft for driving the drilling tool, a chuck connected rigidly to the drive shaft along a rotation axis directed longitudinally with respect to the drive shaft for receiving a clamping shank of the drilling tool, and at least one radial bearing radially enclosing at least a portion of the drive shaft for radially mounting the drive shaft, configured such that the radial bearing may mount the drive shaft to be rotatable about the rotation axis. The radial bearing may be an active magnetic bearing and may be configured such that it mounts the drive shaft to be pivotable about at least one pivot axis extending perpendicularly to the rotation axis through a fixed point, wherein the fixed point may be located in a centering countersink of the drilling tool when the drilling tool is clamped in the tool spindle.

Abstract: A spindle repair kit including a pair of alignment mandrels positionable in a respective spindle bore of a steering spindle. An alignment rod is operative to retain the mandrels in their respective spindle bores. The kit can also include a first clamp member and a second clamp member, each being positionable between the spindle bores. The kit includes a drill fixture including a drill mounting surface and a bearing fixture including a bearing aperture sized to receive the alignment rod. Fasteners clamp the drill fixture and first clamp member to the first spindle bore and clamp the bearing holder and second clamp member to the second spindle bore. The kit includes an arbor connectable to a drill and a reamer, wherein the arbor is sized to position the reamer in the first spindle bore.

Abstract: A tool (100) for working the internal bore of a tube comprises a motor (10), having a housing with a rotary output; a housing sleeve (14a) and shaft (22); a first bearing housing (16), having a rotatably journalled first spindle (102), mounted on the housing sleeve; and an end sleeve and shaft connected to a tool head. The motor output drives, along a common axis (1), the housing shaft, first bearing spindle, end shaft and tool head. A change mechanism (56,58) is in the tool head to change direction of said drive to transverse said common axis. An output (60) is adapted to receive a tool bit. Gauge means (18,18′) is disposed on said tool head and is adapted, in use, to bear against the bore of the tube and maintain the tool head located radially with respect to the tube axis; and support means (24,24′) is disposed on one or more of said housing shaft, first bearing housing and end sleeve adapted, in use, to bear against the bore of the tube and support the tool. A long length of tool can work the inside of long tubes.

Abstract: The present invention provides a machining method of a valve hole and the valve hole machined with the method, wherein the method includes the following steps: (1) performing drilling machining for a valve hole by adopting a valve hole drill bit to achieve a predetermined machining dimension; (2) performing fine machining by adopting a reamer to allow the diameter of the valve hole to reach a stable dimensional state and removing impurities and aluminum scraps on the surface of the valve hole, thereby meeting the requirement of final fine grinding extrusion machining for a blank; and (3) performing final precision machining by adopting a grinding extrusion tool. A technical solution of the present invention can improve the machining precision and strength for the valve hole, prevent the generation of hot cracks and improve the anti-fatigue strength of the valve hole by more than 20%.
