    摘要: A reamer for making a tapered hole is disclosed. The reamer comprises a cylindrical forward portion joined to the front end of a conical rear portion, the rear portion tapering outwardly from its front end. The forward and rear portions have co-incident longitudinal axes and at least three cutting flutes extending continously on the forward and rear portions and which are unequally spaced about the longitudinal axes. In one embodiment the flutes are either aligned with or helical about the longitudinal axes; and furthermore are misindexed about the axes and therefore are unequally spaced apart. In another embodiment the flutes have different helix angles about the longitudinal axis. In other embodiments the cylindrical forward portion is eliminated leaving only the conical rear portion making a reamer suitable for enlarging holes having existing tapers.

    摘要: A reamer for making a tapered hole is disclosed.     摘要: A shaft tool for machine tools, has a shaft, a tool head disposed at a shaft end and equipped with at least one cutting element, and a coupling element disposed at the other shaft end for direct or indirect connection to a machine spindle. A peripheral groove extends along the circumference of the shaft and is open radially, and at least one spreading element engages in the peripheral groove and can be radially adjusted therein, resulting in the exertion of spreading and bending forced onto the groove flanks. The peripheral groove is filled with a filler material at least in the area of the spreading element, the filler material having both a sealing function against contaminants and a damping function. The filler material also acts as a rotation prevention for the spreading elements.

    摘要: A reamer having a tool shank and a detachable reamer head in which the shank is provided at one end with means to be engaged by the spindle of a machine tool and at the other with a sleeve defining a conical socket and the reamer head has an integral conical butt for engagement in the shank socket, the butt being detachably secured in the socket by means of a rigid force transmitting member extending lengthwise of the tool shank and connected at its ends to the reamer head butt and an axially movable screw threaded counterpiece engaged in screw threaded fashion on the shank so that rotation of the screw threaded counterpiece exerts a longitudinal force to draw the reamer head butt into and out of the conical head socket. Cooperating detent means are provided on the reamer head butt and tool shank sleeve to prevent relative rotation therebetween. The force transmitting member can take the form of a rod extending within a coaxial bore within the tool shank and threadwise engaged at one end with the butt and connected to the counterpiece at the other. In one embodiment, the connection can be a sliding one, the rod having an integral transversely extending cross-piece which is engaged between the parts of a double collar threaded on the tool shank. In another embodiment, the member can have a direct threadwise connection with a threaded socket at the base of the conical socket, a lengthwise passage being provided axially through the reamer head and butt to allow the member to be mechanically engaged and rotated.
