摘要： A bar feeder for separately feeding longitudinal bars (3, 3′) from a storage unit (1) to a transportation unit (2) is provided. The storage unit (1) comprises a delivery mechanism, which delivers bars (3) in delivery direction to the transport unit (2). The transport unit (2) comprises separated, moveable spaces (8) for accommodating the bars (3′), wherein the spaces are moveable in a transport direction. An abutment screw section is provided on the transport unit, which is moveable from a blocking position for blocking a bar (3) in delivery direction and a release position for allowing movement of the bar in delivery direction and into a space. The abutment screw section is switched between the blocking position and the release position by a rotational movement of the transport unit (2).

The screw is adapted to be journaled on a movable body in parallel with the roller unit, and to be rotatably driven. The screw includes an outer thread having a pitch for engagement with the flanges, and rotation of the screw causes the movable body to travel along the roller unit.

The apparatus comprises means to remove metal chips resulting from the wet and dry machining processes from the apparatus via respective independent wet and dry chip outlets. The chip removal means comprises a transfer means located in the machine base with the transfer means being reversible in direction in order to convey metal chips, emanating from the machining process, to the respective wet or dry chip outlet. The chip removal means enables metal chips from wet machining processes to be conveyed to and discharged from an outlet in one side surface and metal chips from dry machining processes to be conveyed to and discharged from an outlet in another side surface.

摘要： This invention provides a feed system comprising a base on which a portion of the article being fed rests. The base extends along a feed path for the article. The feed system also includes at least one rotatable feed screw lying in an axis parallel to the feed path. The feed screw includes an entry end, a discharge end and a continuous, helical groove having a profile for receiving a portion of the article being fed. The feed system includes a linkage device for transferring reciprocating motion of a reciprocating press into which the articles are fed into rotary motion of the feed screw, and a feeding device for feeding articles into the groove at the entry end. The feed system also comprises a cooperating second screw or a resilient guide bar, for maintaining the article within and along the feed path as the feed screw is rotated.
