    摘要: A cutting device includes a platen, a mounting portion, a movement mechanism, a processor, and a memory. The memory is configured to store computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, instruct the processor to perform processes including acquiring a hardness-correspondence value corresponding to a hardness of a cutting object placed on the platen, acquiring cutting data for cutting a pattern from the cutting object, setting, based on the hardness-correspondence value, an offset amount used for a rotation correction to a greater value when the hardness of the cutting object is hard than when the hardness of the cutting object is soft, correcting, using the set offset amount, data, of the cutting data, corresponding to a direction change section, and performing cutting processing to cut the cutting object using a cutting blade, by controlling the movement mechanism in accordance with the corrected cutting data.

    摘要: An ultrasonic trimming apparatus is composed of an articulated robot, a cutting apparatus, and a grindstone. The cutting apparatus is composed of an ultrasonic oscillator supported by the end portion of the robot, a cutter blade which is supported by the ultrasonic oscillator, and a workpiece securing portion which secures a workpiece. The grindstone is disposed within the movable range of the cutter blade driven by the robot and is placed in a position at which the cutter blade can pressure contact the cutter blade. The cutter blade is ultrasonically vibrated by the ultrasonic oscillator and is ground while being pressed against the grindstone by means of the articulated robot. The ultrasonic trimming apparatus efficiently cuts a sheet material composed of soft material such as plastic, fabric, or rubber, a composite material, or a material containing glass fiber even when the material has a three-dimensional shape.

    摘要: A cutting instrument improvement for a computer controlled X-Y plotter comprising an electric motor having a housing and a rotor mounted for rotation about an axis fixed with respect to the housing at a relatively high speed in response to the connection of the motor with a source of electric current. An annular member is mounted on the motor housing for cooperating with the instrument receiving and holding mechanism to enable the latter to hold the housing in fixed centered relation on the instrument carrying member of the plotter for controlled movement with the instrument carrying member into an inoperative position and biased movement with the instrument carrying member into an operative position. A cutting tool is detachably fixed to the rotor for rotation therewith and has a sharp point disposed on the rotational axis when the instrument carrying member is in the operative position for relative X and Y axis movements with respect to a laminated sheet received and controlled by the laminated sheet receiving and controlling mechanism of the plotter. An adjustable spring assembly preferably containing the opposed springs, acts between the housing and the carriage to resiliently support a selected portion of the weight of the motor and tool on the carriage.
