    摘要： The present disclosure describes embodiments of a twin-screw press for extracting vegetable oils, and a process for extracting vegetable oils and/or seeds. Particularly, the twin-screw press provides a reduction in machine cost and maintenance due to low operating torque requirements and allows an improved operation with the oil extraction being greater than the oil loss. This is a consequence of allowing lower processing temperatures and pressures due to the geometry of the screw and the gap that it has with the draining element of the press cage. This also permits reducing the possibility of material jamming or co-rotation of the cake in the press.

    摘要： Disclosed is a solid/liquid separation apparatus including an extruder press combined with a solid/fluid separation module for separating fluid from a mass of solids compressed by the extruder at elevated pressures. The extruder includes two or more extruder screws with flighting intercalated at least along a part of the extruder barrel. The separation module forms a continuation of the barrel, receives the pressurized mass and at least a portion of the twin screws, and includes a filter pack consisting of a filter plate and a backer plate. The filter plate has a throughgoing filter slot extending away from a core opening and into the filter plate for directing fluid away from the core opening. The backer plate has a core opening shaped and sized equal to the barrel and defines a passage for guiding fluid collected in the filter slot to an exterior of the filter pack.

    摘要： A compactor for compacting and dewatering debris comprises a housing having an inlet for enabling debris to be delivered to forwarding augers which forward the debris to a compaction chamber at the discharge end of the housing. The chamber has an outlet opening of less cross-sectional area than that of the chamber, thereby ensuring sufficient compaction of the discharged debris that it can pass through the opening. The opening is formed in an elastic wall which distorts to some extent and imposes a resistive force on the movement of debris through the opening, thereby further compacting the debris as it passes through the opening. Debris passing through the chamber may be sprayed with water to remove sludge-like substances which otherwise would cling to other types of debris.

    摘要： A double-screw press for separating a liquid from a two-phase solid-liquid material includes a hollow barrel and two screws disposed in the barrel. The barrel comprises a plurality of detachable barrel plates and a plurality of spacers disposed between the barrel plates and cooperating with the barrel plates in defining slits. The screws are arranged side by side with a gap defined therebetween, and are rotated by a motor to move a material, which has been charged into the barrel, efficiently from an upstream end to a downstream end of the barrel. The barrel plates and the screws have respective passages connected to cooling water sources, which supply cooling water to keep the temperature in the screws and the barrel at a desired level. The charged material is crushed and mixed in the gap between the screws, and oil is expressed from the material when it is compressed in the barrel. The expressed oil is discharged through the slits and collected in a container.
