    摘要： A method for manufacturing filter elements, in which sealant does not get onto the rolling claw and rolling of the roll filter paper is made easy.A long roll filter paper having laterally oriented filter parts for filtering, the filter parts being open on the inflow side of the roll filter paper and closed on the outflow side of the roll filter paper, is rolled. During rolling, a sealant is applied to the surface of the roll filter paper in a narrow longitudinal strip, in such a way that the sealant does not make contact with the rolling claw. The roll-start end of the roll filter paper is gripped with the rolling claw during rolling. The rolling claw is made up of 2 or 4 rolling bars having the shape of the parts produced when a cylinder is split into two halves along its axis.

The tear strip (82) is defined by two reinforcing tear tapes (83a, 83b) on either side of the tear strip. Each tear tape (83a, 83b) has a respective first remote end (84a, 84b) at the tab, and the two tear tapes extend from the tab and diverge away from each other at least partially around the container such that the width of the tear strip enlarges around at least a part of the perimeter of the container. The tear tapes (83a, 83b) have respective second remote ends (86a, 86b) which are spaced from each other and spaced from the tab.

    摘要： Multi-ply tubular members of non-circular cross-sectional shape are convolutely wound of sheet material on a mandrel of the desired non-circular shape. High bond strength is obtained by continuously pressing the sheet against the mandrel and wound plies during winding. For this purpose a presser roll of noncircular cross-sectional shape is biased against the mandrel and wound plies and rotated in timed relationship with the mandrel. The presser roll is shaped so that the combined distance from the axis of the presser roll to its surface and from the axis of the mandrel to its surface, in a plane passing through the axis of each, remains constant during winding.

    摘要： The winding of tubes of substantially uniform diameter from sheet stock which varies in thickness comprises slitting the stock along one edge as it is unwound from a supply roll to form a web of predetermined width and subsequently cutting the web transversely to form successive blanks of predetermined length and width which are wound upon themselves from one side to the other to form convolutely wound tubes. Should the diameter of the tubes vary due to an increase or decrease in the thickness of the sheet stock, the width of the web is varied inversely with changes in the thickness of the stock.
