摘要: A liquid ejecting apparatus which ejects liquid onto a medium includes a carriage which includes a control substrate configuring at least a part of a control unit which controls driving of the entire liquid ejecting apparatus, an ejecting unit which ejects the liquid, and a driving substrate which is connected to the control substrate and the ejecting unit, and drives the ejecting unit, in which the carriage is provided with a load absorbing unit which absorbs a physical load with respect to the ejecting unit from the driving substrate side. By adopting the liquid ejecting apparatus with such a configuration, it is possible to prevent a load from being applied to the ejecting unit from the driving substrate side.

摘要: Under a condition in which bowed printing occurs, a horizontal shift is suppressed to improve print quality. Following a program stored in a ROM 12, an MPU 10 generates video data for charging print particles according to print contents data stored in a RAM 11. Based on the print contents data, the MPU 10 detects a letter to be printed last, and when the letter to be printed last is printed to end a print operation, generates video data so that based on the video data, a non-print charge voltage driving non-print particles to an extent that they do not fly over a gutter 25 is applied to non-print particles. The number of the non-print particles subjected to the non-print charge voltage is determined by the MPU 10, based on the distance from a print head 2 to a print subject 30, a letter height preset value, etc. A character signal generating circuit 18 generates the non-print charge voltage, based on the video data, and applies the generated the non-print charge voltage to a charging electrode 22.

摘要: A continuous jet module, apparatus, and method are described for printing with a high viscosity printing fluid having a viscosity of 10 to 100 centipoise. The module includes a housing having a printing fluid reservoir for feeding the high viscosity printing fluid to a plurality of channels. The reservoir has a first longitudinal direction and includes a plurality of openings in a second direction. Each channel is disposed in one of the corresponding openings, and each channel receives the high viscosity printing fluid from the reservoir through its corresponding opening and generates therefrom a continuous jet of high viscosity printing fluid.

摘要: A print pulse control and driver circuit for an electrostatic fluid jet applicator is provided which promotes enhanced image quality by adjustably controlling the rising and falling edge duration of print pulses that are applied to the applicator's charge electrode array. The control circuit in pattern printing applications employs a print pulse drive bus which is shared by a large number of high voltage charge electrode drive circuits. Print pulses present on the bus are selectively used to gate high voltage to individual charge electrodes. In addition, the print pulse control circuit includes circuitry for detecting short circuits on an individual electrode basis.

摘要: A circuit, for applying a potential to a charge electrode in a multiple jet ink jet printer to compensate for the cross talk charging effect of adjacent electrodes on the jet filament, includes a means for applying a catch potential or a print potential to the electrode. Means are provided for altering the print potential when one of two adjacent electrodes is supplied with a catch potential and means are provided for altering the print potential when both of the adjacent electrodes are supplied with a catch potential. The print potential is reduced by an amount sufficient to reduce the cross talk field from adjacent electrodes in the region of the jet to the same potential level as the jet filament. A transistor current source applies a large current to the charge electrode during catch operations such that the stray capacitance associated with the electrode is rapidly charged and the electrode is brought to the catch potential rapidly.

摘要: Control of the printing velocity is of importance for application of ink jet systems of the charge amplitude controlling type to intermittently operating recorders or asynchronous recorders. In order to alternate the printing velocity, the velocity of travel of a head carrying a nozzle and the charging signals to the total number of ink drops in the stream of ink drops emitted from the nozzle also is changed. In this charging signals to a total of ink drop in the wake also is changed. In such way there is provided ink jet systems of the charge amplitude controlling type suitable for intermittent or asynchronous printing wherein the printing velocity can be varied without alternating the frequency of formation of the ink drops.
