摘要: A printing system, print control device, and print control method enable non-technical users without specific technical knowledge to appropriately set the flushing conditions of a printer. A host that sends commands to an inkjet printer that prints on a print medium provides a user interface for selecting an operating mode prioritizing the throughput of the printing operation, or a normal operating mode. When the operating mode prioritizing printer throughput is selected using the user interface, the host generates a command setting a condition for flushing the ink nozzles of the inkjet printer, and sends the generated command to the inkjet printer.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method of maintaining nozzles in a print-ready condition includes determining image content to be printed in an upcoming print swath, and for each ink color present within the image content, constructing an inked portion of an associated spit bar adjacent to the upcoming print swath to include the present ink color. For each ink color not present within the image content, an empty portion of an associated spit bar is constructed adjacent to the upcoming print swath.

摘要: An inkjet printing apparatus includes a transport speed detector for detecting transport speed of a printing medium, an inkjet head having a plurality of discharge portions for discharging ink droplets from the discharge portions for printing, and a flushing controller for carrying out discrete flushing from the discharge portions. For an acceleration area of the printing medium where the transport speed detector detects an increase in transport speed before printing, a first discharge rate is set as discharge rate of the ink droplets per unit time for the discharge flushing. For a constant speed area of the printing medium where the transport speed detector detects a substantially constant transport speed during printing, a second discharge rate lower than the first discharge rate is set as discharge rate of the ink droplets per unit time for the discharge flushing.

摘要: In a method to control vibration measures and refresh measures in a printing operation of an ink printing system with at least one printing apparatus, the printing apparatus having printing elements that fire ink droplets as print dots at a printing substrate depending on control data determined from print data associated with print images and firing pause information about firing pauses for the printing elements. Prefire data and refresh data derived from the firing pause information and from operating condition information of the printing apparatus are combined with the control data. The vibration measures and refresh measures are executed by the printing elements depending on the firing pause information, the prefire data, and the refresh data, no ink droplets being ejected during the vibration measures and ink droplets being ejected during the refresh measures.

摘要: A printing device includes a transporter that transports a printing medium, a head that ejects ink onto the printing medium and forms an image, an inspector that inspects whether or not a dot of the image is omitted, and a controller that controls the transporter, the head, and the inspector. When the inspection of whether or not a dot is omitted is executed, the controller prints, on the printing medium, inspection result information that indicates whether or not the dot is omitted.

摘要: There is provided a liquid jetting apparatus including: a liquid jetting head including a pressure generating element and a plurality of nozzles arranged in rows in a nozzle-row direction; and a controller. The controller is configured to: determine a basic flushing amount for each nozzle; make the liquid jetting head carry out flushing with the basic flushing amount for inner-side nozzles positioned at an inner side in the nozzle-row direction; and make the liquid jetting head carry out flushing with a flushing amount larger than the basic flushing amount, for outer-side nozzles positioned at an outer side in the nozzle-row direction, of the inner-side nozzles.
