    Abstract: A system, and a method of using a system, for controlled tool operation. The method includes providing a tool used in a force application such as a such torque application. The tool communicates with a controller which can communicate with the tool, and to a display in communication with the tool and the controller. The controller can be programmed with operational information about a tool operation. Information related to the operational information is displayed to a user during use. Service information including at least information about an amount of force applied during use is recorded and stored in the controller.     Abstract: A tire changing kit includes a jack movable between lowered and raised configurations and an impact wrench. The kit includes at least one socket configured to be rotated by the impact wrench for turning a lug nut. The impact wrench includes a processor, an electrical memory device in data communication with the processor, audio data relating to instructions for changing a tire, the audio data being stored in the memory device, a user input device in data communication with the processor, and programming in the processor actuate the jack and to cause the audio data to be provided to an audio speaker upon receiving certain audio instructions from the user input device.

    Abstract: A tool for removing broken threaded fasteners such as seized or damaged Budd nuts mounted on a stud extending from the hub of a dual wheel assembly. The tool includes a base plate which is securable at the Budd nuts adjacent the broken nut by stand-off and fasteners. A cutter is advanceable by a pivotal bar by means of a manually operable adjustment knob. The cutter is rotatable in a busing and has a cutting head with a bore which extends over the damaged nut. Replaceable cutting teeth are carried on the cutting head and when advanced cut through the flange on the damaged Budd nut. The device can be powered by a power tool attachable to the device. A depth guide is provided to assist the mechanic in correctly determining the proper depth of cut.     Abstract: The present invention provides an improved device for simultaneously replacing a plurality of lug nuts through the use of computer technology, modularity, energy-efficiency, safety features and ease of use. Computer technology monitors and controls the torque on each lug nut. This invention also displays the loosening or tightening status of each lug nut on a small LCD screen. The present invention achieves modularity through a series of interchangeable gear train assemblies, contained in separate unitary housings, which correspond to respective vehicular wheel depth and wheel lug patterns. Also, magnetic concentric sockets are used to capture and hold lug nuts as they are removed from the vehicle's wheel and to remove and replace theft protection devices such as rim or wheel locks. This invention provides ease of use with user-friendly controls and a light-weight unitary housing that eliminates the need of assistance from another person.

    Abstract: A tire changing system for use on a vehicle having a frame and four wheel wells formed above corresponding wheels includes a jack movable between lowered and raised configurations and an impact wrench configured to move the jack therebetween when actuated. The system includes an air compressor and air storage tank. An elongate primary hose is connected to the storage tank and extends along the vehicle frame, the primary hose having a plurality of outlet ports situated adjacent to respective vehicle wheel wells. A secondary hose includes a first end selectively coupled to a respective outlet port and a second end selectively connected to the impact wrench such that the impact wrench receives air flow from the storage tank.
