摘要: A reinforced hull for a flat-bottomed boat comprises a bottom panel having longitudinal and lateral braces extending across an upper surface of the bottom panel of the hull. The braces are formed from channel members having outwardly and downwardly sloping legs connected together by a web. The lateral braces have notches formed in and extending upward from bottom edges of the legs with each notch sized to receive a longitudinal brace therein. Lower, outer corners of the bow are reinforced and an engine stand is welded to the brace assembly.

In general, each structural connector includes at least a pair of members extending outwardly from and substantially perpendicular to a body of the structural connector, the members spaced apart from one another so as to form a recess therein between. In some embodiments, the recess may be sized and shaped for receiving supporting members including the likes of stringers and support plates.

摘要: Jacket frame floating structures comprise one or more elongate vertical support columns formed of an open cross-braced jacket formwork of tubular members interconnected together and at least one cylindrical buoyancy capsule disposed in the open framework near an upper end and at least one cylindrical second buoyancy capsule near a lower end in vertically spaced relation. The buoyancy capsule(s) may be a single, or a plurality of upper and lower capsules bundled in circumferentially spaced relation with a central opening therethrough. Alternatively, a keel tank may replace the lower capsule. The buoyancy of the upper buoyancy capsule(s) is adjustably tuned to provide a buoyant force and a sufficient water plane area and moment of inertia required for stability of the floating structure, and the water mass and weight of the lower buoyancy capsule(s) or keel tank(s) is adjustably tuned to raise or lower the center of gravity of the entire mass of the floating structure with respect to its center of buoyancy according to ballast and variable or fixed loads including deck payloads to stabilize the structure. Alternatively, a keel tank may replace the lower capsule. The buoyancy of the upper buoyancy capsule(s) is adjustably tuned to provide a buoyant force and a sufficient water plane area and moment of inertia required for stability of the floating structure, and the water mass and weight of the lower buoyancy capsule(s) or keel tanks(s) is adjustably tuned to raise or lower the center of gravity of the entire mass of the floating structure with respect to its center of buoyancy according to ballast and variable or fixed loads including deck payloads, to stabilize the structure, and to compensate for different operational, environmental, survival and installation stages of the structure. The length of the upper buoyancy capsule(s) is sufficient so as to be partially submerged and allow oscillation of the trough and crest of waves within its top and bottom ends.

摘要: A boat includes a hull and a unique integrated, molded, floor and stringer system for positioning in the hull for providing structural support and stiffening thereto. The floor and stringer system may include first and second stringers and at least two bulkheads extending therebetween. The first and second stringers include a floor surface integrally molded therewith so that once the floor and stringer system is positioned in the interior of the hull, the floor surface remains exposed to serve as part of the boat's floor. Associated methods for manufacturing the boat and integrated floor and stringer system are also disclosed.

In one embodiment, a structural panel configured in accordance with the invention includes a skin and at least first and second stiffeners. At least one of the first flange portion of the first stiffener and the second flange portion of the second stiffener can extend toward the other of the first flange portion and the second flange portion to form an at least approximately continuous support surface to which a frame can be attached.
