    摘要: A hull mounted, steerable marine drive system having trim actuation is both steerable through 360 degrees and is trimmable in a range of from approximately +3 degrees to approximately −15 degrees. The marine drive system includes a watertight enclosure assembly for sealing the hull, which is adapted for keeping much of the marine drive system from being exposed to water. The enclosure includes a gasket flange plate, a retention plate and a folded gasket. The gasket flange plate closely follows the contour of the hull and enhances the hydrodynamic and wake performance of the present marine drive system. Further, marine drive system includes a forward-neutral-reverse (FNR) transmission assembly, a drive unit assembly having a trimmable upper unit and a steerable lower unit, a steering actuator assembly, a trim actuator assembly, and, preferably, trim foils for enhancing lift to assist in getting the boat up on plane.

The watercraft also includes a propulsion device pivotally mounted to a portion of the hull other than the trunk. The propulsion device can include a transmission and a propeller on an end of the transmission, and can be movable between a deployed position and an onboard stowed position. In the deployed position, the transmission extends through the trunk and through the opening such that the propeller is positioned below the hull bottom. In the onboard stowed position, no portion of the transmission or the propeller is located within the trunk or below the hull bottom.

The fluid paths extend through the drum, which is rotatably mounted to the horizontal mounting plate. The yoke includes pivot arms for attachment to a trunnion that includes actuator brackets for trim actuators fluidly connected to the actuator fluid paths of the drum.

    摘要: Several embodiments of improved sealing arrangements for sealingly engaging an auxiliary power unit and the portion of the hull of a water craft that defines an opening through which the power unit drive extends. In each embodiment the seal has an opening that is sized to pass the power unit and an arrangement is provided for forcing the seal into sealing engagement with the power unit. In some embodiments two axially spaced seals are provided and an arrangement is incorporated for limiting the degree of relative movement by the power unit and the hull. In one embodiment a water sensor is positioned in the area between the two spaced seals for detecting failure of one of the seals. The support for the sensor is such that it may be removed and inserted along with the power unit without damage to the seal.
