    摘要： There is disclosed a rest mat (100) for use in a vehicle. The mat comprises a first mat portion (102), a second mat portion (104), and a third mat portion (106). The mat (100) has a first configuration in which the mat (100) is configured for storage or transport, and a second configuration in which the mat is deployed for use. The first mat portion (102), the second mat portion (104) and the third mat portion (106) are arranged so that, when the mat (100) is in its second configuration, the first mat portion (100) is arranged to at least partially overlay a seat portion (114) of a chair (112) of the vehicle, the second mat portion (104) is arranged to project outwardly over a front edge of the seat portion (114) and form an extended area (105) together with the first mat portion (102) to accommodate a child. The third mat portion (106) is arranged to attach to a seat-back pocket (116) or tray-table (132) of a chair (110) in front of the mat (100) so as to provide support to the second mat portion (104).

    摘要： An inflatable child seat for use in an airplane having a base panel having at least one inflatable air chamber is provided. The inflatable child seat also includes two side panels, each of which have at least one inflatable air chamber. Both side panels are connected to the base panel. A back panel is further provided, having at least one inflatable air chamber, and is connected to the two side panels and the base panel. The back panel is disposed at an angle relative to the base panel. The inflatable child seat also has a belt configured to restrain a child in the seat. The inflatable child seat additionally has a cavity disposed in the back panel and is configured for receiving a seat belt from an airplane or car seat for securing the child seat to the airplane or car seat. The inflatable child seat is provided with at least one port that is in communication with one or more of the air chambers and serves as the means for inflating and deflating these chambers.

Sliding gates integrated into the aisle seat end base can be deployed to form an enclosed play area for children. Theater-style seat bottoms can be provided which flip-up to provide more floor space. Child booster seats can be built into the seatbacks. The seatback and bottom cushions can articulate and slide within fixed frame members to combine with opposite cushions to form a flat sleeping configuration for passengers.

    摘要： A child safety restraint system is disclosed for use on private and commercial aircraft. The invention includes a removable, portable strap assembly for safely securing automotive child safety seats to aircraft seats and frames in compliance with present and pending federal aviation safety regulations. A system is disclosed which includes a pair of anchors attached to the front beam on an aircraft seat. A pair of connectable and adjustable belt assemblies are attached one each, to the anchors. One belt assembly is passed through the frame of a child safety seat and connected to the other belt assembly. The combined length of the connected belt assemblies is then adjusted to place the system in tension, and thereby secure the child safety seat to the aircraft seat. The resulting system provides significantly improved safety for children over the use of the lap belts to secure child safety seats in commercial aircraft.
