    摘要: There is described a method of increasing the output of a transfer film (1) upon embossing, in particular hot embossing, wherein the transfer film (1) has a carrier film (1a) and a transfer layer portion (1b) which is releasable from the carrier film (1a). During a first embossing operation first regions (10) of the transfer layer portion (1b) which are arranged removed from each other at a spacing a are transferred by means of a first embossing tool from the transfer film (1) onto at least one substrate (2), wherein first openings (10a) are produced at the spacing a in the transfer layer portion (1b) of the transfer film (1). After the first embossing operation the transfer film (1) is wound up after the first embossing operation and fed to at least a further embossing operation.

    摘要: The present invention is a label system and method for label alignment and placement on a container. The label system includes a first label or a container whereby the first label includes alignment symbology and a second label having an alignment area corresponding to the alignment symbology of the first label. The second label is positioned on the container whereby the alignment area of the second label is aligned with the alignment symbology of the first label. The method for label alignment and placement comprises the steps of (i) providing a container with identification information and a label bearing area; (ii) scanning the identification information; (iii) processing the identification information; (iv) printing indicia on a label at a position defined by the identification information; and (v) placing the label on the container with the indicia positioned at the desired predetermined location.

    摘要: A roll sheet has a release paper as a base sheet. A recording paper is attached to the release paper via an adhesive layer so that the recording paper can be peeled off from the release paper. First and second peel-away areas are formed on both side edges of the roll sheet in the widthwise direction thereof by peeling off both widthwise edges of the recording paper from the release paper to allow the release paper to be exposed at the both side edges of the roll sheet. Sensor marks are printed on the release paper as being entirely shifted from the peel-away areas. This ensures that the roll sheet has a uniform thickness over the entire area of each sensor mark, thereby ensuring that each sensor mark has uniformities in its reflectivity and transmittance with respect to incident light.

In some embodiments, systems for verifying branding of at least one medication container associated with at least one of a prescription and medication order are provided.     摘要: Self-adhesive labels are formed by repetitively cutting linerless web material which is fed from a roll into and through a rotary knife cutter. The labels are then transported to and applied to articles. To improve cutting of the web and labeling, the web and or labels are contoured, e.g., they are made concave, in a plane transverse to the direction of flow path. To contour the web or labels, alternative endless belt arrangements are used, wherein the center line of the adhesive side of the web is adhered to a belt surface. Preferably, a one-piece belt having spaced apart and movable lengthwise portions is used. Different transport velocities are used for web fed to the cutter and for labels taken-away from the cutter. Cutter motion, and thus label length, in forming either linerless and lined labels, is controlled according to how printed indicia bar marks on the web are severed into portions; alternatively, according to whether or not the cut falls between two spaced apart printed indicia. Linerless labels have die cut edge cutouts, so that when they are severed, round corner labels result. A rotary cutter anvil is internally cooled to help prevent linerless web adhesion; and the anvil and cutter are frictionally engaged, to rotate together.
