    摘要： The present invention provides a box and a method of shipping a cable drum enabling the cable to be unwound in full or in part while the drum is inside said box. The shipping box comprises a bottomless chest for surrounding the drum and a device for unwinding the cable wound on the drum, which drum is provided with an axial opening through which there passes a shaft. The device has two supports each provided with a respective bearing, the supports being secured to two opposite internal side walls of the chest, the box being capable of occupying two positions: a transport position in which the shaft of the drum is not supported by the bearings, and a cable-unwinding position in which the shaft of the drum is supported by the bearings, thus enabling the drum to rotate about said shaft.

    摘要： A pallet assembly for transporting and de-spooling electrical wire packaged in different forms (on reels or in boxes and pails) is disclosed. The pallet assembly comprises a base and a first layer cover. The base has a number of depressions formed in its top surface, each capable of receiving packages having different cross sectional profiles (circular, square, rectangular, etc.). The first layer cover has a number of locator bosses extending downward from its bottom surface. While being shipped, the packages are secured in the depressions on the top surface of the base, and the first layer cover is disposed above the packages so that the locator bosses engage the packages. In addition, the pallet assembly may contain tubular shrouds for de-spooling wire reels directly off the pallet. All components of the pallet assembly are made from a thermoplastic material and are reusable.

    摘要： An open-faced frame supports and protects a continuous strand of garland. The strand is wound around a pair of spaced, oppositely oriented "V"-shaped strand support members. Each of the support members has two hingeably joined portions, each with a peripheral edge. A plurality of strand receiving recesses are situated along each peripheral edge. The support members are retained in parallel relation by two spaced, substantially planar elements. Openings on the ends of each element receive and retain the support members. A band encircles the elements and a portion of the strand therebetween. The frame is virtually hidden from view by the garland, but protects same from being flattened or crushed during handling, shipping, and display.
