A belt and a belt conveyor are provided for transporting particulate material and especially oilseeds up the belt conveyor. The belt conveyor can include an intake end having a hopper, a discharge end, a body extending between the intake end and the discharge end and a belt. The belt travels along a travel path in the belt conveyor; the belt traveling through the hopper, up an upper run in the body to the discharge end, down a return run in the body, and back through the hopper. The belt can have a top surface having pairs of adjacent ridges provided on the top surface, each ridge having a pair of arms extending from a point, in a travel direction of the belt, wherein each pair of adjacent ridges define a v-channel on the top surface of the belt.

A conveyor employs a low-tension, direct drive conveyor belt, and a snap-on position limiter for ensuring proper engagement of the belt and a drive sprocket. The position limiter includes a body, a limiting surface and a snap clap opposite the limiting surface for snapping the position limiter to a mounting shaft. The position limiter may include a mounting arm for mounting a conveyor belt scraper at the front of the position limiter. Mounting plates at the end of the conveyor support a mounting shaft for mounting the position limiter or other conveyor components in place relative to the drive sprocket.

A scraper blade adapted to scrape off material from a conveyor belt surface, including a mounting portion at one end, and a scraper tip at the other end. The scraper blade includes by a scraper portion extending from the scraper tip and to a point adjacent to or in the mounting portion. The scraper blade includes at least one side wall which is tapered from the scraper tip towards the mounting portion. One or more scraper blades form a scraper for a conveyor belt.

A conveying device with a revolvingly led, extensively extended conveying element, which forms a conveying section with a conveying surface, and a return section, which is arranged below the conveying section. The conveying element is deflected in each case in two head-end regions, which are spaced from one another along the conveying direction. A wiper device for wiping foreign objects led along on the conveying surface of the conveying element is arranged in the front head-end region, in which the conveying element is deflected from the conveying section into the return section. The wiper device includes a wiper unit with a receiving blade, which runs transversely to the conveying direction, as well as a wiper blade, which is mounted on the wiper unit and forms a flexible wiper lip projecting toward the conveying element beyond the receiving blade.

An apparatus for stripping off material from a conveying belt of a belt conveyor in the region of the curve of a discharge drum, beneath the discharge point of the belt conveyor includes a plurality of stripping members arranged in a row and are carried by at least two elongate flexible carrying elements spaced apart from one another. At least one of the stripping members includes a first stripping element and a second stripping element and is additionally provided with a lifting mechanism which causes the first stripping element to be lifted from the conveying belt when the first stripping element is moved in a direction of travel of the conveying belt. The first stripping element is mounted on the stripping member so as to be movable relative to the lifting mechanism. The lifting mechanism may be in the form of an articulated lever mechanism or spring lever mechanism.

A conveyor system for transporting sand including a transportation element for moving the sand, and a drive subassembly for moving the transportation element on a predetermined path. The drive subassembly includes a sprocket driven by a motor for moving the transportation element along the predetermined path, and a floating idler wheel supportable by the transportation element and positioned on the predetermined path downstream from the sprocket. The floating idler wheel is movable between an upper location and a lower location, depending on the tension to which the transportation element is subjected. The drive subassembly also includes a limit switch activatable upon the floating idler wheel moving to the lower location. Upon activation, the limit switch transmits a signal to a motor switch to de-energize the motor.

A conveyor belt is formed from a loop of material having opposite first and second side edges, and which when laid flat has opposite planar surfaces extending between the first and second edges. First and second sealing protrusions extend outwardly from the outer surface of the loop of material and extending continuously around the outer surface of the loop of material. In use, the sealing protrusions contact a hopper of a food patty forming machine to prevent the leakage of food material from the hopper.
