摘要： Folded cover sheets are conveyed seriatim from a first magazine into each of several parallel channels during each of a series of successive intervals. Such sheets are opened up on entry into the channels and are transported past one or more locations where they receive inserts which are supplied from one or more additional magazines, again in such a way that each additional magazine admits an insert into each channel during each of the successive intervals. The thus obtained groups of sheets are gathered into larger groups which are assembled into a continuous stream of partly overlapping groups.

摘要： The opening apparatus has an opening element with a resting surface and a stabbing member, the pointed stabbing end of which is offset by a predetermined distance with respect to the resting surface. The printing product to be opened is held together between the resting surface and the counter-element. Upon pivoting of the opening element in stabbing direction, the stabbing member stabs in between sheets of the printing products, which are lifted off one another upon further pivoting of the opening element.

摘要： The present invention is an apparatus for inserting printed material into a newspaper or the like. A first separating unit is provided for a stack of newspapers, referred to as jackets. A jacket is separated from the stack and pushed forward onto an insert unit on a slightly lower level. A second separating unit contains a stack of insert material, one insert at a time being separated and pushed forward. The jacket is moved laterally in front of the second separating unit and is opened by an opening blade. The insert is pushed forward into the open jacket which is pushed away from the opening blade permitting closure by gravity. A plurality of successive separating units may be provided for multiple inserts.
