Abstract:
A front end conveyor include a lower deck having a plurality of lower sheet supports, an upstream upper deck having an upstream end at the upstream end of the front end conveyor, a downstream end and a plurality of first upper sheet guides and a downstream upper deck having an upstream end, a downstream end at the downstream end of the front end conveyor, and a plurality of second upper sheet guides. The lower sheet supports and the upper sheet guides define a sheet transport path for moving sheets of material though the conveyor. The downstream end of the upstream upper deck and the upstream end of the downstream upper deck are independently pivotably mounted to the frame such that the upstream end of the upstream upper deck and the downstream end of the downstream upper deck shiftable toward and away from the lower deck.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for removing particles, such as dust, generated by a moving web is disclosed. A dust control platform is positioned adjacent to a traversing web to catch the particles generated by the web. The particles pass through one or more apertures defined by an accumulation surface. The particles pass through the accumulation surface and into an accumulation chamber. The accumulation chamber may include a sweeping device or other device that may be used to transfer the accumulated particles to a collection chamber. The collection chamber is connected to a vacuum source. Vacuum is applied to the collection chamber by the vacuum source such that the particles are removed from the collection chamber.
Abstract:
A sheet conveying apparatus which conveys a sheet includes: a first rotating member made of a material which is positive with respect to the sheet in a triboelectric series; and a second rotating member made of a material which is negative with respect to the sheet in the triboelectric series, wherein the first and second rotating members are arranged in a conveyance direction of the sheet and arranged to be contact with the same surface of the sheet, and a foreign material is removed from the conveyed sheet by the first and second rotating members.
Abstract:
There is provided an adhesive belt which is configured to support and transport a recording medium, a recording head which is configured to record by discharging ink onto the recording medium which is supported by the adhesive belt, and a cleaning mechanism which is configured to clean the adhesive belt. The cleaning mechanism has a cleaning liquid tank which is configured to have a cleaning liquid, a contact section which is configured to come into contact with the adhesive belt to apply the cleaning liquid and clean off ink which is attached to the adhesive belt, and an anti-foaming agent supply section which is configured to supply an anti-foaming agent for ink to the adhesive belt directly or via another member, and the anti-foaming agent remains on the adhesive belt.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming part; a paper dust collecting roller that collects paper dust from a sheet; a conveying roller that is opposed to the paper dust collecting roller and conveys the sheet; a paper dust removing member that contacts the paper dust collecting roller for removing the paper dust therefrom; a supporting member that extends in a width direction of the sheet; a swing shaft for swinging the supporting member; and a pressing member that presses the supporting member for contacting the paper dust removing member with the paper dust collecting roller. The supporting member includes: a guiding surface that contacts the sheet conveyed along the conveying path for guiding the sheet toward the image forming part along the conveying path; and a paper dust receiving part which receives the paper dust removed by the paper dust removing member.
Abstract:
A universal laser fiber reel for use with an optical laser fiber, having a base with a base plate, the base plate having a base hub and base wall with the base wall having a base wall width not less than a minimum laser fiber wind length. A fiber cage proximate the base wall radially stores the laser fiber in the reel, the fiber cage having a fiber cage radius equal to a minimum laser fiber bend radius and a fiber cage width not less than the minimum laser fiber wind length of the laser fiber.
Abstract:
A printing apparatus includes a medium casing which accommodates at least one printing medium in a stack manner, an accommodated medium conveying unit which conveys the at least one printing medium accommodated in the medium casing from a first medium standby position to a second medium standby position, a feeding unit which feeds an outermost printing medium of the at least one printing medium conveyed to the second medium standby position from the medium casing, a printing medium conveying unit which conveys the fed printing medium from the feeding unit to a printing position, a print head which is disposed at a position opposed to the printing position and carries out a printing process on a printing surface of the conveyed printing medium, and a brush which brushes off the printing surface of the printing medium at a position between the second medium standby position and the printing position.
Abstract:
A retractable reel apparatus for connecting the electrical wiring on a trailer to the electrical system of a towing vehicle. The apparatus comprises a housing with a reel rotatably disposed therein. A wire has a first portion wrapped in a first direction around the reel and a second portion counter-wrapped in a second direction within the first portion. A first end of the wire extends through a first opening in the apparatus, and a second end of the wire extends through a second opening. The second end of the wire is stationary. By pulling on the first end of the wire, the first end may be extended from the housing. A torsion spring biases the reel so that the wire tends to retract back into the housing when tension on the first end of the wire is released. Numerous mounting arrangements for the apparatus are disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for treating wire material, comprising at least one station consisting of two disc-shaped substrates. The surfaces of said substrates face each other and overlap, clamping the wire material with a changing surface condition. The substrate surfaces (C1, C2) overlap except for at least one visual inspection zone (K), which remains exposed for viewing on at least one substrate surface (C1) and likewise makes contact with the wire material (D). The surface condition of said zone is essentially the same as the wire contact area (F) of the overlapped remainder of said substrate surface (C1).
Abstract:
A drag board for use in a coil processing line for tensioning or wiping a continuous line of strip material using a substrate to which is selectively secured a contact pad. The leading edge section of the substrate is constructed and arranged for receiving a locking bar which may be activated to apply or release a compressive, securing force on one edge section of the contact pad. Releasing the locking bar permits removal of or emplacement of a contact pad from or onto the substrate.
