Abstract: A sheet conveying apparatus includes first and second rotator pairs, a moving member including an abutment portion against which a front end of the sheet conveyed by the first rotator pair abuts and a guide member provided at upstream, in the sheet conveying direction, of a nip portion of a second rotator pair. The guide member configured to be movable to a first position where the guide member guides the sheet toward the moving member in a projection state and to a second position away from the moving member more than the first position and turns to the second position during when the sheet is conveyed by the second rotator pair.

Abstract: A sheet transport assembly is provided for transporting a sheet along a process unit configured for applying a process to the sheet. The sheet transport assembly comprises a conveying unit comprising a transport belt, which transport belt comprises air permeable openings, the sheet being placed with a contact side on a support surface of the transport belt; a separating unit for separating the sheet from the transport belt, the separating unit comprising a blowing unit connected to an air supply source and arranged adjacent the transport belt to direct a detach air flow through said air permeable openings of the transport belt in a detach area to lift the sheet from the transport belt; and a control unit configured for controlling the units of the sheet transport assembly. Said two attraction areas are cooperatively arranged adjacent to both sides of the detach area in a lateral direction, which is substantially perpendicular to the transport direction. Abstract: In a defective-workpiece discharging device, a defective workpiece is discharged to a discharge path from a conveyance path that conveys a plurality of workpieces related to absorbent articles at a predetermined conveyance pitch. A sorting mechanism between the first and second paths sorts workpieces into either the second path or the discharge path.
