摘要： A method and apparatus for disposing an end of roving of a roving bobbin at a disposing location adjacent the drafting device of a spinning station of a textile spinning machine The roving end disposing apparatus, which is preferably mounted on a traveling service unit which travels to the spinning stations of the textile spinning machine to perform roving feed start operations thereat in which the feed of roving from a roving bobbin through a drafting device is started, includes a roving end support assembly for supporting a roving end for movement between a receipt location at which the assembly receives the roving end and the disposing location adjacent the drafting device at which the supported roving end is released either for engagement by the drafting device or piecing of the roving end with roving extending from another roving bobbin through the drafting device. The roving end disposing apparatus also includes a component for directing air against the roving end in correspondence with its release from the support assembly to facilitate movement of the roving end at an inclined direction into position for engagement by the drafting device or piecing with another roving. The air directing component preferably includes an air jet and an air source reversibly operable to apply suction through the air jet to secure the roving end during movement between the receipt location and the disposing location and to supply pressurized air against the roving end.

摘要： An apparatus for controlling a drive of each one of spinning frames forming a group, to which a conventional roving bobbin exchange operation for exchanging almost exhausted roving bobbins of the spinning frame with full packaged roving bobbins of a bobbin carrier on a supply rail arranged at a position close to and above the corresponding spinning frame by a known automatic apparatus mounted on a carrier which is capable of displacing along a track arranged on a floor of a spinning factory along an alignment of out-end frames of said spinning frames, is applied, wherein during the spinning operation, a residual roving quantity of the roving bobbins of each spinning frame is measured, while detecting a quantity of yarn wound on cops in each spinning frame, and when the above-mentioned measurement of a residual quantity of roving bobbins reaches a predetermined value, a first signal indicating this condition is issued, while the quantity of yarn wound on the cops is measured to detect a suitable condition to start the above-mentioned roving bobbin exchange operation, and when this suitable condition is detected, a second signal indicating this condition is outputted, then a signal calling the automatic apparatus is outputted based upon the logical product of these two signals, and an allowable time for the arrival of the automatic apparatus at a working position close to a particular position and close to the out-end frame of a spinning frame is set, and if the automatic apparatus for exchanging roving bobbins does not arrive at the above-mentioned working position within the allowable time, the drive of the spinning frame concerned is stopped by a means for controlling the drive of the spinning frames which cooperates with the measurement of a residual quantity of a roving bobbin and measurement of a quantity of yarn wound on the cops.

摘要： A bobbin exchange system applied to a ring spinning frame provided with a unique creel mechanism, wherein a pair of parallel rails is provided for supporting respective bobbin carriages. Each bobbin carriage is provided with two alignments of bobbin hangers, to a number which is identical to a number of spindles of each side of the ring spinning frame. When roving bobbins supported by the bobbin carriage supported by one of the above-mentioned supporting rails reach an almost exhausted condition, a roving bobbin exchange operation between full packaged roving bobbins suspended by the corresponding bobbin hangers of the other bobbin carriage supported by another supporting rail is carried out, and upon completion of the above-mentioned roving bobbin exchange operation, the first-mentioned bobbin carriage is discharged from the first-mentioned supporting rail and then a fresh bobbin carriage supporting full packaged roving bobbins is introduced into the first-mentioned supporting rail by means of a conventional bobbin carriage transporting system. The above-mentioned roving bobbin exchange operation is repeated between the above-mentioned two supporting rails without stopping the spinning operation.

摘要： A process for replacing spent roving packages with new roving packages, with automatic splicing and reattachment of the rovings, on machines to spin carded wool is disclosed. The new roving package is removed from a conveyor and brought to a waiting position, where the end of the new roving is manually placed in a gripper. When the old roving package is almost exhausted, the spindle of the spinning machine is stopped and the roving is sheared. The end of the roving still attached to the spinning machine is retained with an aspirator. The new roving package is then brought to the working position, causing the automatic discharge of the spent roving package, and the gripper brings the new roving to the aspiration site causing the intermingling of the fibers of the two rovings. The spindles are restarted and the spliced segments of the roving receives a false twist and subsequent real twists. The process may be carried out with a device which can remove the new package from the conveyor and bring it to the waiting position and the working position, which also has a gripper to bring the new roving the aspirator site.

The displacing device includes a roller rotatable about a longitudinal axis, a drive for rotating the roller about the axis and an actuator for engaging the roller with the slide while rotating the roller about the axis to displace the slide between the positions.
